Chapter 37

Twyla's Pov

We had finished the nursery, and I was super happy with the job we had done. The walls we painted a light blue like the sky, and the trim we painted white to match the clouds. Aries and Seth put together her crib in the middle of the room and it was also white, and her mobile on the crib had a black and white wolf on either side. Her windows in the room faced the mountains, and when the sun rose in the morning the rays shown thru painting the floor in all colors. Aries and I stood in the doorway admiring our work. "We did a good job. "He declared." I love it and our little girl is going to love it too. "I agreed. We both felt someone trying to mind link us, so we dropped our walls. Alpha, Luna, we need you both to come down to your office quickly, Seth declared. Ok we are on our way, Aries replied. He took my hand in his and we walked down the stairs and through the house to Aries' office.

Once we stepped in the room you could feel the tension, Paul and Bryant were sitting on the couch and Seth was standing by the desk. I walked around the desk with Aries and stood behind him as he took a seat in his chair. Seth shut the door, and Aries placed his elbows on the desk. " Ok you guys tell me what you have learned. "Aries ordered. Bryant took a deep breath before speaking. "Alpha, we ran back as fast as we could. We found Samuel's base camp after two days of searching, he was held up in the higher smokey mountains in a canyon. I don't know how but he has gathered hundreds maybe a thousand rogues to his agenda. "Bryant stated, pausing. Aries ran his hand through his hair frustrated. "Please continue Bryant. "He ordered. Bryant and Paul both looked to each other fear etched in their eyes, before Bryant looked to Aries." Alpha, Samuel is marching with his rogues this way as we speak. He will be here no later than tomorrow morning "He declared. Aries immediately stood up as did Paul and Bryant. My heart dropped to my toes, fear chilling every bone in my body.

Taking immediate action Aries turned to Seth. "Go gather all the pack Alphas at once and have them meet us in the conference room in fifteen minutes. "He ordered. Seth ran out of the room, and Aries turned to his fighters. "I want to thank you both for the service you have done for this pack. Once this war is over, I will make sure you are both rewarded handsomely." He expressed, holding out his hand to them. Bryant took his hand in a shake." No reward is needed Alpha. We have families here to and we know how much you both are doing to try and protect us. "He replied. The fighters both left the room and Aries turned to me gathering me in a hug, before leaning down to give me a passionate kiss. I know how hard this had been on my mate, I had felt it in our bond. The burden of taking care of me and our pack, plus dealing with the other alphas and packs pending this war was taking its toll on Aries. All we both wanted was peace, and a sense of calm. Aries pulled back leaning his forehead on mine. "We better go the Alpha's will be waiting on us. "He stated. I smiled pecking his lips once more, before heading to the conference room.

Aries' Pov

Twyla and I took our places at the head of the table, looking out over the faces of the Alpha's. Twyla took a deep breath gathering herself. "My Alpha's this morning my mate and I have received distressing news regarding Samuel and the rogues. After the last attack Aries sent out two scouts to search for their base camp to spy and bring us news of their whereabouts. "She paused letting this news sink into the Alpha's. They all nodded in understanding. "This morning the scouts returned and have made us aware they have found their encampment. Samuel has many rogues even up to a thousand under his command. The urgent news we gathered you to this meeting for is that they have started marching and we believe they will be here no later than tomorrow morning. "She declared. The Alphas eyes got big at this, and they started murmuring among themselves. "What is your course of action My queen? "Alpha Eric questioned. She held up her hands to silence them. "Please don't be alarmed my alphas. We have been preparing for this for months. Go gather your fighters and have them meet our beta Seth immediately to begin battle preparations. Each Alpha will command their pack fighters in different ranks. The women with children and elderly bring to the bunkers. We will have them seal the doors from the inside no one can get in. Everyone needs to be alerted and ready by morning." She stated. "We are dismissed." The alphas left the room immediately going to see to their packs.

I took Twyla's hand, and we walked through the pack house back to my office both quiet. I could feel the stress and fear weighing on her. We both took a seat on the couch, and I pulled her into my arms. She let out a sob and I let her cry for a while on my shoulder before she pulled back. "This is all my fault." She declared. I wiped her eyes with my sleeve. "No princess it is not. Regardless of you even being in the picture Samuel is a traitor and would have had a war and he would have succeeded in taking over. You are the key to our success, and without you no one would have been survived the wolfsbane." I replied. "Thanks to you we were prepared." Twyla smiled her arms wrapping around my neck. "You know you are an amazing mate. I love you so much. "She expressed. " Let me show you how much I love you, "I declared.

I caressed her cheek and leaned down to once again take her lips in a kiss. We helped each other out of our clothes, and I laid back on the couch helping Twyla to straddle me. Tonight, we wanted to be close our wolves felt our stress and fear from the upcoming battle and were longing for each other. Even with Twyla's protruding belly our pup growing inside of her she was still the sexiest she wolf alive in my eyes. She was wet and ready for me as she pushed my length into her letting out a moan. I grunted at the tightness of her walls, as she started riding me setting a pace back and forth. I grabbed her hips and helped push myself deeper into her. She leaned down capturing my lips with hers and we started fighting and caressing each other's tongues. I sat up pulling Twyla close and started working my lips down to my mark. My hand fondled her breast working her nipples into hardened peaks. Our pace started getting faster and faster her moan and my grunts mixing into sounds of ecstasy. I bit down on Twyla's mark, and she came hard with a high-pitched moan, and I grunted one last time before spilling my seed into her. I gently laid her next to me on the couch, and we both stared at the ceiling both still slick with sweat. "Aries. "Twyla said. "Yeah Princess, "I replied. Her face was solemn.
