Twyla's Pov

I couldn't believe it Aries and I were know fully mated, it was still surreal to me, and I couldn't stop smiling. We had finished eating the picnic Rose had made for us and were know walking back to the pack house. It was late after dark and had to be around 10 pm. "How did you like today? "Aries asked, his arm wrapped around my shoulders. "It was wonderful. "I replied." A girl could get used to this kind of treatment." Aries chuckled. "We will make sure to start making time for us. "He stated. " I know it has been kind of crazy. I am still trying to get used to the Alpha Queen thing." I declared. Aries nodded in understanding. "With that and the packs coming in a week it certainly is easy to get caught up in the business" He stated. My whole body started to feel uncomfortably warm.

Suddenly, I had the feeling of a hundred knives stabbing my abdomen and I fell to my knees with a gasp. Aries bent down next to me worry etched on his face. "Princess, What's wrong?" He asked. This couldn't be happening not know with packs arriving soon. I felt a burning between my legs and my body still growing warmer and warmer. "It's... my heat," I declared through nashed teeth. Realization dawned on Aries, and he took in my scent that had now started becoming an overpowering aroma. His eyes turned black, as he picked me up and took off at a run towards the pack house. The pain in my abdomen had doubled and I let out a scream in pain.

Once in the pack house, Aries started to carry me up to our quarters, but we were blocked by Dylan and Bryant on the staircase. They were simply talking, but both males were unmated and once they caught my scent their eyes turned black with their wolves."Move!"Aries ordered in his Alpha tone. Both males seemed possessed, not listening as they began to stalk toward us. I looked to Aries fearfully, as he sat me down and placed me behind him. "Dylan stand down! "Aries ordered. Dylan shook his head trying to regain control of his wolf, but Bryant kept advancing on us. Seth and Chloe came out of their quarters looking around in confusion. Seth caught my scent and nodded to Aries understanding. He ran up behind Dylan and tackled him to the ground. Dylan allowed it being the gamma he had better control than most unmated wolves. Bryant didn't stop advancing however, and he tried to grab me. Aries picked up Bryant by his neck, holding him above the floor. "DO NOT TOUCH MY MATE!" He boomed. Bryant was turning red from the hold Aries had on him, and he was clawing at Aries arm eyes still black.

Chloe ran down the stairs and threw me over her shoulder since I was still doubled over in pain. She ran me up the stairs and slammed our quarter's door making sure to lock them. She laid me down on our bed, and I was so hot now that I was ringing with sweat. "Dang girl this is a fine time for a heat. "Chloe stated, placing a cold cloth on my forehead. "Aries? "I questioned. Chloe shushed me."He will be up soon. You know he has to handle those boys." She said. Even with her reassuring me, I was still worried about Aries.

Aries' Pov

I don't know why I hadn't thought of Twyla's heat. I knew every she-wolf had to go through it once fully mated, unfortunately my mom was very thorough about giving me the talk. The females would cycle a heat once a year, and it was to ensure that mates would preserve their lineages. Right know I was so angry with Bryant it was taking everything in me not to snap his neck. I was still holding him in the air squeezing my hold on his neck, his lips turning blue. Once I knew Twyla was safely in our room when I heard the lock click, I dropped Bryant in a heap on the floor his eyes returning to their normal color. He looked shocked by his actions, " I am so sorry Alpha." I roared a growl. Seth and Dylan were know standing by the stair's eyes lowered. Dylan had been able to keep control of his wolf, allowing Seth to tackle him. "Bryant if you weren't one of my best fighters and close friends you would be banished from this pack. But seeing as you are, and you normally aren't like this. I am feeling forgiving." I declared. Bryant kept his eyes trained on the ground. " Yes Alpha. "He responded.

"You are sentenced to border patrol rounds for a month. Every night are we clear." I ordered. Bryant nodded his head still hanging in shame. "Seth make sure and escort these guys to the training grounds and give them a good workout. "I stated. Seth nodded in understanding. "Yes alpha." He replied. Dylan and Bryant walked ahead of Seth onto the front porch of the pack house. "Seth." I said, patting his back. "Yes alpha." he replied. "Thanks man." I declared. Seth grinned. " No problem, Aries, "He replied, jogging after Dylan and Bryant. Hearing my mate scream once again in pain had me bounding up the stairs to our quarters. I knocked on the door and Chloe unlocked it. " How is she? "I asked walking over to the bed. Twyla was laying on her side her arms wrapped around her torso. Her clothes were completely wet from her sweat, and she was sobbing. "She is having a rough time of it." Chloe stated. " She really needs you." I nodded in understanding.

Chloe let herself out as I crawled in bed behind Twyla. I took her in my arms, and she seemed to relax from my touch. I kissed her forehead, and she moaned in pleasure.

Twyla's Pov

Its official I really hate heat cycles. this pain was horrible. I felt like I was burning from the inside out. Aries crawled into bed behind me and as he took me in his arms, and the burning quelled some. My skin was so sensitive when he kissed my forehead, I moaned from the pleasure it sent through my body. He slowly helped me out of my clothes and took his own off as well. Aries picked me up and carried me to the bathroom and set me down in the tub running warm water. He took the soap and slowly ran it over my back and over my breast. I moaned once again pleasure running through my body at my mate's touch.

After washing me off with warm water, Aries slipped into the tub behind me. He turned me to face him, and I was straddling his lap." I am going to take care of you Princess. " He declared, running his hands over my breast and nipples. His touch was searing into my skin, making me writhe in pleasure. I started kissing him running my fingers through his hair, as he continued to feel me with his hands. Placing his length at my entrance he entered me slowly. The feeling that washed over me was nothing short of ecstasy, but I needed more. Slamming my body against him I took his length all the way in. I cried out as Aries gripped my hips thrusting into me harder and harder. I dug my nails into his back as I came, and Aries followed coming himself with a grunt. The burning slowly subsided, as Aries dried us off and carried me back into our bed. "Are you feeling better Princess?" He asked, spooning me in his arms. "Yes, the burning has dulled. "I replied. Aries pulled my hair behind my ear. "Why don't you get some sleep. The burning will return, and you are going to need your rest." He declared. I nodded before feeling my eyes close heavy with sleep.
