Aries POV

The warm sun and chirping birds woke me from a deep sleep. I looked over to my mate, she was so beautiful in this sunlight she was glowing. She was curled into my side sleeping so peacefully. Last night was literally the best night of my life. I couldn't believe she allowed me to mate her. I wasn't expecting that for months yet, but this feeling and new attachment was awesome. I could feel all of her emotionally and physically know. I have never been so happy in my entire life. All we had to do know to complete the mating process was to mate as our wolf forms, but I will let her decide when.

I felt another presence in my mind and opened the link to Seth worrying over our absence. What is it, Seth? I questioned. O thank goddess, Seth sighed internally. The whole pack is in an uproar. I scrunched my eyebrows. What is it? I questioned again. Two of the fighters were running the pack perimeter and they found Sandy. Seth paused. O no what's that slut done know? I scrunched my eyebrows together. That girl was about to make me pull some drastic measures, like the dungeon for instance. You know what just throw her in the dungeon. I don't have time for her ... I didn't get to finish my thought when Seth interrupted me. Alpha. He declared. I rubbed my hand over my face. what Seth? I exclaimed. She's dead. He stated carefully. Crap, this wasn't going to be good.

Twyla's Pov

For the first time in my life, I felt complete and whole. I never knew I could be attached like this to someone, feeling my mate's feelings and physical strengths was absolutely amazing. I slowly opened my eyes and came face to face with the love of my life. He was looking up and had a stern look on his face. I suddenly looked down feeling worried, did I not satisfy him I knew I was less than worthy. Suddenly, I felt Aries tuck a finger under my chin and had me look him in the eyes. " Twyla you were great and last night was the best night of my life. " He said sweetly. I looked into his eyes and gave him a questioning stare, but in his eyes all I saw was love. Aries tapped his forefinger at his head. " Mind link and Twyla you are the love of my life and my mate. I love you, Princess." He stated, kissing my forehead. " The only reason why I am looking stern is because two of the trackers found Sandy dead and we have to go back to the pack house." He explained.

My face went blank. What? How? Questions were running through my head at a million miles an hour. But nothing came out of my mouth. I wasn't sure how I felt about this, she had beaten and mistreated me for so long I just wasn't sure what to feel. Aries kissed the top of my head. " We need to get back to the pack house. " He Stated, helping me up. I was still naked as was my gorgeous mate. Aries handed me a pair of clothes from inside a tree. He looked me over with lust in his eyes. " And you better hurry and get dressed before I take you against that tree again." He smiled, pulling on a pair of basketball shorts. I laughed pulling on a pair of leggings and a pink tube top. Aries came up to me and pulled me into his arms kissing me full on the lips this time. When he pulled away, I felt the need pulling at me again. Aries looked at me his eyes flicking back and forth between his natural color and black of his wolf. " We need to go, but I promise you I will make sure to take care of all your needs Princess later on today." He whispered kissing my ear. I giggled. Aries led the way jogging back to the pack house. Running even in human form felt amazing know.

As we approached the pack house, I noticed all the members outside awaiting on our arrival. Aries led me into the midst of the people where Seth was standing." Update." Aries said in his stern Alpha tone. Seth turned to Aries; Chloe was standing right behind him. Chloe grinned and wiggled her eyebrows at me knowing what went down with mine and Aries mating last night. I shook my head laughing to myself. Seth cleared his throat. " Alpha, I have had all the male fighter wolves running the border two at a time every hour checking for rogues, but we haven't found anything that would say this was foul play. " He stated. All the members of the pack were circling us listening intently. "What was found?" Aries questioned. Seth ran his hand through his blond hair. " Honestly Alpha it looks like suicide." He declared. " She was hanging from a tree by a rope and looks like she just stepped off a branch with the noose around her neck." Aries was gritting his teeth. " We did find this note around her neck, but it is addressed to the Luna. " Aries gave me a grim look and I froze instantly.

Me? Why in the world would Sandy leave me a letter. Aries took the letter from Seth and dismissed the pack. I still stood frozen in place. Aries ran his hand down my cheek snapping me out of my stupor." Come on Twyla let's go to my office and see what this letter says." I nodded my head following Aries and Seth silently. I couldn't understand why Sandy would leave me a letter she sure had nothing nice to say when she was alive. I followed Aries into a big room I had never seen before. There was a small couch in front of a big bookshelf in the front of the room. Towards the back of the room there was a huge antique oak desk with wolves engraved on the front. The room had a warm vibe to it, and I instantly loved it. Aries placed his hand on the small of my back and led me to a seat on the couch.

He took a seat beside me and took my hand in his." I love your office. " I stated. Aries smiled. " Really? Well, I'm glad. I spend a lot of time in here with all the pack work. So, I know you and I will be spending a lot of time together here know to." He explained, wiggling his eyebrows. I blushed at his insinuation and nodded, excited about that prospect. Aries pulled the envelope out of his back pocket. " Do you want me to read it aloud? " I shrugged. " I guess so. " Aries tore the letter open and began to read. You took the love of my life away from me Twyla. I may be dead, but vengeance will come in a higher form. I promise now with my death your own death and your mates will come with swift wings, and my mate will be free. I couldn't understand what she meant. If she was dead, how was she planning to kill me. I didn't have a good feeling about this.
