Twyla's Pov

I had just been summoned to Alpha Samuel's office and I was scared out of my mind. My body was getting weaker and weaker, and I didn't know how much longer it would be for me. My eyes were always blurry, and I was always shaking from exertion when performing my duties. My body's automatic healing was taking twice as long, and for a werewolf that is bad news. Finally, I arrive at the door of the Alpha's office and knock. "Enter." I heard the alpha state. I pushed open the door of the office, and my first view was of Alpha Samuel sitting at his desk with Sandy sitting in his lap sucking on his neck, running her hands under his shirt. I internally gagged at the scene before me. This had been my father s office, and they were disgracing it. I stood in place until Alpha Samuel looked up at me and growled. " What do you want you little tramp? " He snarled. I kept my eyes on the hardwood floor as I whispered. " You summoned me, Alpha." Alpha Samuel set Sandy on the desk, and she have me a vicious smile. He came around the desk before I could blink and roughly grabbed my face in his hand pulling my body up to his level. I could smell his nasty breath as he pulled my face to his. " You listen here you little wench and listen well. We have a great Alpha...no more like The Alpha coming to visit for some important business. This house better be spotless, and all meals better be grand and on time. You come when called...you do what your told... even from the other Alpha and his pack members. You got me." He growled, dropping me in a pile on the floor. "Know get out." I hurriedly pulled myself up and hobbled out into the hallway shutting the door behind me. My body was shaking from the agony I was feeling, and I ended up crawling to the kitchen to make supper. I slowly pulled myself up on the bar and got the ingredients to make lambchops. I didn't know this visiting Alpha, but I do remember my dad talking of an Alpha that had the biggest pack in the world. He is supposed to be more powerful and have more strength than three alphas put together. Great all I need another is another Alpha to beat me senseless and treat me like dirt. Whoever he is I will be sure to keep my distance as much as possible. My body is shutting down and the most I can hope for is simply to die in my sleep.

Soon all the pack started piling into the dining room waiting on supper. I set all the food and silverware out, all the while ignoring the name calling and smacks, I was receiving. I walked off to the side of the room and waited in case anyone needed refills for their drinks. All the girls at the table could talk about was the big visiting Alpha and how he was supposedly mate less. The giggling was starting to become annoying, until Alpha Samuel stood up and cleared his throat. Silence came over the room immediately. " Dark moon I am sure all of you already know about the visiting Alpha. All I want to say is that I want everyone to be on their upmost behavior or else you will personally be taken care of by me." He declared using his Alpha tone. When everyone was finished, I was left cleaning up the kitchen, of course nothing was left for me to eat. I didn't expect nothing less from my pack, as far as I am concerned, I deserve it, and I am a nothing.

As I was washing the supper dishes Sandy and two of her so-called sidekicks Jenna and Lori sauntered in the kitchen looking me over and laughing. I tried to ignore their name calling and taunting, until Sandy grabbed my shirt and forced my body to whirl around to face her. " Look you little piece of nothing. Soon Alpha Samuel is going to make me his Luna, and as soon as he does, I will make sure your face is never seen again." she spit. I didn't respond keeping myself perfectly still looking down, emotionless. Sandy reeled her hand back and slapped me, her hit busted my lip, and it was bleeding. I still did nothing which somehow made her even angrier. Throwing me on the floor Sandy and her sidekicks kicked and punched at me until everything went black.

Aries' Pov

Seth, Lane, Bryant, and I had now been on the road a whole one day and twelve hours on our way to Dark moon. We left the state of Tennessee and were traveling all the way cross country to the state of Oregon in a black Yukon. My wolf had been on edge for the past two days, and I couldn't understand why, so I told the three guys traveling with me to be on high alert. With Samuel you never knew what you could be walking into. We would be arriving at Dark moon in a couple of minutes. I knew today was going to be a change for the werewolf race with the start of the peace treaty. Not every Alpha I had spoken to about the treaty had been overly keen on the idea, but I know that all great starts began somewhere. I just wish my wolf wasn't so on edge right know, I am going to have to be as calm as possible in this meeting with Samuel or else this will all be for nothing.
