Chapter 10 Judgement of Eternity

The day had gone by smoothly, the guard had finished patrol with no problems, Akili could tell that a lot was taken off the guard's shoulders now that they were back at full strength and it made Akili happy to know that he was already helping with them so much just by joining.

Akili was back at the cliff ledge overlooking the Pride Lands the moon now stood at its high and beat down on Akili's fur. Akili was at a temporary peace with himself a feeling that he wanted to keep but he knew it would be very temporary.

Akili heard a muffled laugh behind him causing a shiver to run through his spine, he shook it away though he wouldn't have followed him here he was too far away.

Akili heard a body drop behind him and laughter continued, Akili gave in and turned around to see a pale white lion with the marking of a Spade standing over the body of a dead cheetah, Akili's breathing scattered and time froze. Spades laughter kicked up, "oh poor Akili, still can't save his friends" he cackled.

"No, no, NO!" He yelled as he jumped to his feet and lunged directly at Spades, but Spades caught him as he pushed three of his claws into Akili's forehead, blood spewing out as Spades pushed in deeper into Akili's cranium causing him to scream in pain.

Suddenly everything went still and Akili felt as if he was rocketed into a different dimension, his vision was blurred, he felt his head with no blood coming from it. As he gained his vision back he took in his surroundings instantly recognizing his old family's den.

Akili stepped out of the den and saw his home, it was thriving, plants were flourishing, and an extremely diverse ecosystem was running through the land. And just a few hundred feet in front of Akili were his parents and slowly approaching them was Spades.

Akili knew what this day was, he saw a young version of himself approaching his parents but that young version froze, Spades had the head of his dad in his paws and the life less corpse of his mother in front of him.

Akili ran through the plains of his home with his friends following closely behind, Kamili slowly beginning to trail behind, Akili stopped the others quickly following suit. "No, all of you keep going I'll catch up" Akili commanded, all of his friends were hesitant but abided to their leader's command.

Akili ran up to Kamili who was now completely out of breath he bent down to get face to face with her, "Kamili you need to get out of here, I've just watched Spades kill my parents I can't let him kill you too" he said as he placed a paw to Kamili's stomach, "I need them to stay alive too" he added.

Kamili smirked as a small chuckle came from her mouth, "if you think this is getting rid of me you must be insane" she said as she straightened herself back up. Akili sighed as he grabbed Kamili and hoisted her on his back and began running to catch up to the rest of his fellow guardians.

As Akili and Kamili made it to the peak of the mountain they saw that the others were already there and in position, Akili and Kamili took their positions at the rock spikes at the points of the mountains, there were only six so luckily the six of them there would be enough without Spades.

As they all positioned their paws on the top of the spikes Akili looked to all of them, "are all of you ready, this is really gonna hurt" he said earning nods and smiles from all of them. This earned a smile out of Akili as he raised his other paw into the air a small blue aura surrounding it causing the ground to shake as the gates to eternity we're opened.

Akili took a deep breath as he looked back at all his friends who nodded, he looked to his side to see Kamili who nodded with the others. Akili nodded as well, "NOW" he yelled as they all pressed their paws deep onto the spikes all growling in pain but they had to do it to protect their home.
