Chapter 15 Frostbourne Blood

Akili stood at the summit of Pride Rock, he signaled to his pride to stay below, taking a deep breath he began the climb. Akili hit the top where he saw the new royals of Kiara, Kovu, and Azizi, the cub quickly ran at the lion and wrapped around his leg, Akili picked his leg up and examined the young cub as the two parents approached him.

"Akili, it's great to see you again" said Kiara who hugged him, Kovu jumped in as well, "you never do break a promise Akili" he said causing Akili to have a small laugh, "even if I want to break one the gods won't let me" he said as he released himself from the hold of the two lions. He moved his head back to level with the cub still huddled in his leg, "what's going on young one, you can let go" he said trying to shake off the cub.

Kiara chuckled at the sight, "he usually does this to Fuli whenever she needs to help him, this is just his way of saying thank you I guess" she says as she walks up to the cub, "ok Azizi let's get off of Akili now" she said as she grabbed the cub by his scruff and began to try and pull him off of Akili's leg. Akili and Kovu laughed, "Akili I feel obligated to tell you that Simba and Nala have no idea you're back" he said to Akili who nodded, "I still wish I came with better news for these lands" he said with a sigh.

Kiara grunted as she finally pulled Azizi off of Akili's leg, Akili winced in pain as Azizi's claws scratched over Akili's leg causing small flows of blood to trickle down his leg, "oh god, Akili I'm so sorry" Kiara said when she saw the lion's leg, "no Kiara I'm fine, I've dealt with much much worse," said the lion. Footsteps were heard making their way out of the den and a lion and lioness stepped out, a golden lion with a red mane and a cream-colored lioness, both of which froze at the sight of the lion.

"I wish I came with better news for you two" Akili said to the pair, Nala choked down a breath as she stepped closer to the lion, "Akili, it's really you" she said stepping closer to the lion with a chuckle, the lion nodded as the smile he was once wearing had disappeared. Nala threw herself into a hug with the lion, "I'm so sorry Akili" she said as she hugged him tighter, Akili felt a tug at his heart, he scared them, he left them all behind, it was a selfish move.

Akili returned Nala's embrace, "I'm the one that's sorry Nala, but I'm back now" he said looking back up to the lion smiling in the corner, Akili motioned for the lion to come forward. Simba smiled and walked closer to the lion joining in the hug, "I missed you guys" Akili said as he pulled away from the hug, "we missed you too Akili, everyone did" Simba said earning a small smile back from the lion.

"I have some people I would like you all to meet" Akili said to them all as he slowly began walking down the steps with the others following along, the group was caught off guard at this sight of a pride under the peak of Pride Rock. Akili walked up to the group and let out a roar to gather the attention of all the lions, "everyone I would like you to meet the royal family of the Pride Lands" Akili said gesturing to the Pride Landers.

"This is Talon, Dexter and Amasi" Akili said gesturing to a small group in the corner, a lion of gold remained huddled with a black and white lioness with a towering black and white lion sitting close to them, "Amasi is the lioness, Dexter is her mate, and Talon is her brother" Akili said walking to another group. "This is Potea, Kupatikana, and their cub Pamoja" Akili then pointed to a pair sparing, "there is Potea's sister, Hasara and our leopard, Matokeo" Akili said as he continued walking.

The royals looked on in awe, Akili had been very successful in managing a large and diverse group, "there are our two tiger brothers, Vitendo and Majuto" he said pointing to two conversing tigers, "and over there is Dhahabu and the three sisters, Upanga, Shoka, and Ngao" he smiled watching the sisters and Dhahabu training.

He chuckled as he saw Ngao pin Upanga, "while me, Talon, and Dexter are all powered with separate Divinations, the sisters have always given us a run for our money, and it couldn't make me happier" he said as he watched Dhahabu pin down Shoka, "hm, looks like Dhahabu's training has been going well" he said to himself.
