Chapter 18 Bloodbath

Akili and Ulafi pounced at each other and collided in midair, Ulafi was the first one with a strike to hit, wrapping his paw around Akili's face he sent him back into the earth, the weight of the tiger smashing down onto Akili's head. Akili felt his mind rattle around the bony walls of his skull as his thoughts were shaken, a low growl began to rise from the lion, Ulafi was laughing a few feet away at the seemingly unconscious lion until he noticed something.

Akili's power level was still low, the Rage wasn't even in effect yet and he was still alive after that hit. Akili's growl was replaced by a low chuckle as he slowly made his way back to his feet and planted himself into the ground as he readied himself for another attack.

Ulafi let out a roar as he charged back at the lion, a red flame surrounding his paw as he smashed it into the side of Akili's head, but the lion remained planted into the ground, Akili only began to chuckle as Ulafi began to send a barrage of strikes at Akili. Everyone looking on at the fight couldn't keep up with the attack, the demon's arms were blurs and Akili was just sitting there and taking the attacks head on.

The ground under Akili was beginning to crack and Akili felt that it would soon cave in, he slowly began building pressure in his legs as he prepared the Rage. Talon and Dexter both looked on at the battle and had looks of unease painted over their face, not for Akili but for the tiger, the two could both sense that Akili was yet to release the rage and he was taking in punches that would likely kill an average mortal with the first strike.

The pair's eyes widened, both looking at each other in fear, "siphon" Dexter muttered as the two looked back onto the battle. Akili charged his legs, feeling as the ground slowly began to break and crumble, and right as the earth below him gave way he leapt off his hind legs, opening the distance between him and Ulafi.

Ulafi was knocked off balance and almost fell into the sink hole but caught himself before he fell too far. Akili smiled as he saw Ulafi make his way back to his feet, "I thought you were stronger than this, I haven't even touched the Rage yet" the lion chuckled to the tiger's displeasure, "you won't be able to win this, Rage user" growled the tiger.

The tiger pounced back at Akili, but the lion met him head on, the two smashed into each other but Akili was the one in control, his jaws locked around the tiger's neck and a bright blue light coming from his eyes as he slammed Ulafi into the ground. Akili laughed as he looked at the dazed lion, as Ulafi slowly made his way back to his feet he could sense Akili's energy, he was barely hovering at a 10% usage of the Rage.

Working to catch his breath a thick red flame surrounded Ulafi, "septem peccata mortalia!" he yelled as he charged back after the lion, but Akili just smiled, planting his hind legs into the ground and lifting himself onto them as Ulafi aimed straight for his chest. As Ulafi made contact Akili was ready, sinking his teeth into the back of the tiger's neck as he wrapped his front legs around the tiger's neck and began to throw him onto his back.

Akili tore out a chunk of flesh as he swung Ulafi over him, blood like lava began seeping out of the open wound but it didn't bother Akili. After he slammed Ulafi into the ground he began to back away again, Ulafi's lava blood continued to pool on the ground, he tried to make his way back to his feet, but his energy was giving out and he collapsed back to the ground.

Akili slowly approached the demon as he began to laugh, "looks like those punches tired you out" the lion said, Ulafi's eyes widened, "you didn't" the tiger said in fear, "siphon abilities are a beautiful thing Ulafi, they can take the people so much stronger than you and make them seem like weak nobodies" the lion laughed after he saw the look of horror on his face. Akili continued rambling on about the fight and Ulafi couldn't do anything as he slowly felt his energy fade away, "even when you were at your strongest your attacks couldn't affect me, truly shows you how much can change in 14 years" the lion chuckled as he began to walk behind the tiger.

Akili slowly picked the tiger up and tore his claws into the demon's chest and wrapped his paws around his ribs, "I'm going to kill you, and then your tigers will be rampaged, and when the rest of your demon friends come, I'll kill them too" he said as he began to pull into the tiger's ribs. The screams of the demon filled Akili with joy as he began to pull harder, the fire had gone out and allowed everyone to see what Akili was doing, blood like lava seeping from the demon's wounds as Akili continued to slowly tear at the tiger.

"Any last words" said the lion, "oriri immortales, mors mortalibus" he muttered, Akili now tore at his ribs harder, listening closely to the symphony of his bones snapping and his flesh tearing, and with one final rip, he tore out the ribcage of the tiger, completely exposing the slowing heart of the demon as his blood continued to pour onto the earth below him.

Akili felt pure ecstasy as he witnessed his heart stop and his body go limp, collapsing to the ground with a thud. Blood continued to leak onto the floor as Akili just stood there with a smile, seeing the exposed heart and lungs of the tiger satisfied him, "you weren't no angel Ulafi, but you sure did have some beautiful blood" Akili said as he lifted him paw to examine the burning blood of the tiger.

Ulafi's followers looked on in terror, if Akili was able to dispose of their master that quickly what would he do to them, they all shuddered as Akili slowly turned his head to them, letting out a thunderous roar the Frostbourne attacked and began tearing the tigers to shreds. Puddles of blood covered the area, and the bodies of multiple mutilated tigers were strewn around the field, multiple spines were snapped, heads were smashed into the ground, abdomens were exposed allowing the guts of the tigers to flow into the ground, chunks of skull and brain from the smashed heads were spread, and there was one remaining tiger through it all.

He was surrounded in the center of the bloodbath by the entire group, his eyes darted to the two tigers at his left, "how could you do this, we're your brothers, how dare you work with them" he growled but the brothers just chuckled, "this is our family, we don't even know who you are" Vitendo said, Majuto looked to Akili who looked on with a blood coated smile.

Akili gave a nod to the siblings which caused them to begin laughing like maniacs, the two pounced and the tiger began to scream but they were quickly silenced as the snapping of his spine was heard along with the tearing of flesh, blood was heard pouring from the body and organs fell. The tiger's walked away from the body in laughter as a everyone admired the work of the duo, a body completely torn in half and a throat in ribbons. Akili smiled, "Beautiful" and it was the only word that was spoken by the group that admired their work.

As they all began to leave Akili spoke up again, "make sure to keep all Pride Landers away from here until we clean it up" he said with a response of nods from the group. Akili took a deep breath, the metallic smell of blood had filled the air and it left him and the group in complete satisfaction, Akili looked over to the brothers who were still left in laughter, "good work you two" Akili said with a bow, the two smiled and returned the bow, proud of what they had done.
