After trying to catch my breath for a minute, I finally got to my feet.
"You did say you didn't want to attend prom, right?" Jimin questioned.
I told him, "Yeah, but only because I thought nobody would ask me until those guys showed up," I honestly just want to laze around on the day of the prom.
"But can you make an exception," Jimin questioned. I was so confused until he continued what he was saying."For me?" he asked, his eyes full of hope and a faint smile on his face.
I ran up to him and gave him a bear hug, saying, "How could I say no to you?" The only problem was that I didn't have any dress to wear to an occasion like a prom. The only dress I had was rented for only two nights, so that's gone.
He asked me, "I'm a little hungry, are you?" He let go of my hug as I uttered "No," still feeling full from my large lunch back at school. Turning around, he grabbed the doorknob. The door opened when he turned it. He gave me a cute eye smile before closing the door quietly. How the heck was he so furious just a second ago? Now, he was cheerfully skipping off to the kitchen without any worries. After clearing my head, I began to consider what I would wear to the prom. Unexpectedly, a thought came into my mind. I pulled my phone from my pocket and dialed the only available fashionista I knew.
I hesitantly muttered, "Hey, Aera," holding the phone close to my ear which was a mistake 'cause she still had that high-pitched voice from school.
She exclaimed with excitement, "Hey, y/nie!" I moved the phone just a little bit away from my ear. I guess she's still excited that Ha-Jun asked her to be his date for the prom.
"So, listen, Jimin asked me to the prom and I don't know what to wear-" she cut my sentence off. "GIRLY!!" she shrieked. I needed to move my phone further away a bit more because of how loud she was.
"You've called the right girl. Come over A-S-A-P!" she excitedly said. She has been dying to give someone something from her closet for weeks. Every time we hang out, she keeps blabbering about how many unnecessary clothes she has in her closet and how she desperately wanted to give someone some. She even attempted to sell them online, but despite her best efforts to promote them, nobody was interested in buying. Honestly, I would feel frustrated in that situation. Before I hung up, I could hear her exuberant high-pitched squeals. I was about to change into something new before heading over to her house, but I was too lazy to do so. I still had my school uniform on, I guess that could work. I opened the door and grabbed my coat from the coat hanger by it before heading downstairs because it was cold outside. I was running down the stairs when I noticed Jimin looking up from his food to stare at me. He must have noticed I was in a rush. He hurriedly stood up from his seat. "Woah, Woah Woah," he repeated. I slowed my pace down until I came to a complete stop. "Where are you headed, princess?" he asked, blocking my path. "First of all, I'm a queen, and I'm going to Aera's house. She invited me over and she lives close by, so I can walk," I tried to get away from him so I could leave as I told him, but he stopped me from doing so. "Your sass just makes you even more attractive," he said flirtatiously. A faint smirk grew on his face. I assume he could see that I was blushing. "Fine," he sighed, "you have my permission to go," he continued. "Thank you," I said with a soft voice. My cheeks were burning, and I knew he noticed. I ran out of the embarrassing scene, opening the door to exit the house. He was laughing behind me as I closed the door, and I could hear it. My cheeks stopped burning as much after I calmed myself down by taking deep breaths, and I started walking toward Aera's house. She recently hosted a party and I remembered where her house was. As soon as I turned to the right, I could already see her house. Because of the decorations outside her house, it is very recognizable. I began running after realizing it was a bit far. Aera was already waiting for me outside her door when I arrived at her house, so I guess she saw me running from outside or she was just waiting. She greeted me excitedly. "Welcome to my house!" She invited me inside. "Come in," Out of breath, I slowly walked inside her house and I immediately had flashbacks of the party. Fortunately, it wasn't as chaotic as it was the last time I visited. "Come on! I NEED to show you my closet!" she said, grabbing my hand and pulling me toward her room. When she opened her door, I was astounded. Behind it was a room that wasn't at all like the one I remembered. "Oh my goodness, you did a great job with the renovation!" I praised while admiring the space. She exclaimed with a big smile, "Thank you! Now, come on. I can't wait to show you my closet!" she said, pulling me again. "Clearly," I chuckled. What waited for me behind that door caught me off guard. She exclaimed in a sing-song voice, "Ta-da!" as she opened it. I was in awe. She had a huge closet that could fit six beds or more. She had really organized clothes. They were completely wrinkle-free! It was so shocking because it was fully crowded with clothing. "That's my accessory area," she said, pointing to the area she was talking about. "and that's my dress area!" she continued, dragging me violently to the dress area. She let go and I said, "Ouch," as I winced in pain. She said, "I'm sorry, I'm just so excited," I rubbed my hand's palm to ease the soreness. Well, I could see that. I said, "You've been forgiven," while smiling. "So what style of dress do you want?" she questioned. I told her, "I want something I won't trip over and in blue and black," She teasingly raised her eyebrows and said, "I assume that's the favorite colors of your special man at school today," gosh, why did she have to be so smart? "H-how did you-" she cut off my sentence. "I simply do," she said. She yanked a stunning dress off the hanger and told me, "Anyway, I think you would like this," I looked at the dress she was holding. I was speechless. This was the perfect dress! Before I could respond to inform her I loved it, she finished what I was about to say for me. "Based on your expression, I think that's a yes," she said, handing me the dress. "What are you waiting for? Try it on!" she said, looking excited. "Where am I gonna do that?" I asked. "Oh right," she said quietly, turning around so she won't see me changing. To wear the dress, I started to take off my school uniform. I finished it in a hurry because I was so eager to try it on. I then began wearing the dress after removing it from the hanger. The silk smoothly slid down my body. It surprised me by fitting really well and being extremely comfortable. I was eager to show her and said, "Okay, I think I'm done," She turned around, and when she saw me, her eyes grew wide. "IT'S SO PRETTY ON YOU!" she exclaimed. Her voice was so loud that I had to cover my ears. "Oh, I'm sorry," she said upon noticing my hands raise to cover my ears. "It's all right," I assured her. She remarked, "You're going to turn some heads," "You think so?" I said, posing. "Obviously! Your date's jaw will drop. You're gorgeous!" she complimented me. "Thank you," I said, smiling. "How did this fit me?" I asked. There was no way this fits me perfectly. "I grew out of that. It's surprising it fits. Maybe this dress was meant for you?" she gasped. "You can keep it!" she told me. I was taken aback. She would let me keep this astonishing dress for free? This was too good to be true. "Are you sure?" I questioned her, hesitating. "Of course! No charge," she assured me. I leaped onto her and extended my arms to hug her. I yelled, clearly overjoyed, "Thank you so much!" She hugged me back and grinned, saying, "You're welcome," As we broke apart, I said, "I should get going," but she stopped me before I could leave. "Are you going to come home in the dress? Don't you think your uncle will suspect something?" she told me. "Like what?" I questioned her. "Like you went out without his permission," she said. "Good point," I responded as I turned around to wear my school uniform. Aera turned around as soon as she realized I was about to change into another outfit. If I go home in this outfit, Jimin would question me if I went out or not. He also might get jealous again because he might think I lied to hang out with a boy from a party. "Are you done yet?" Aera spoke, but her voice was muffled. She's really impatient. "Not yet!" I yelled. I hadn't even started dressing up yet. I hurriedly took my clothes off and put my school uniform back on in about fifteen seconds. I yelled, "Done!" Finally, she turned around. "I'll get going now," I told her. "That's fine, goodbye!" she said as she waved her hand at a rapid pace. I waved back before heading out of her house. I looked up after noticing that it was much darker than I had remembered. There were tons of clouds in the sky and I thought it was going to rain. Oh no, what if it gets on my new dress? And worse, how am I going to hide it from Jimin? I had no time to think about it because I suddenly felt a cold drop of water fall on my shoulder. Shoot, it was gonna pour soon. I rushed to my house with was fortunately close, but not close enough. Soon, I felt a second drop. I knew I needed to pick up the pace. In an effort to avoid ruining the dress, I ran as fast as I could and I made it. I banged on the door after noticing that Jimin locked it. Thankfully, he opened it and I dashed inside, tucking the dress inside the back of my shirt. I noticed he was wearing a new outfit. "What happened?" he said in a worried tone. "Nothing, it was just about to rain and I didn't want to get wet," I explained. I fixed my gaze on the kitchen and saw that the tap was dripping water. I guess he was washing the dishes. "I'm gonna change," I said, trying to avoid eye contact. "Okay, baby," he told me. I nervously rushed out of there, attempting to hide my bright-red face. Since my back was going to face Jimin, I needed to switch the location of the dress because it was in the back of my shirt. He's surely gonna notice if I don't move it. I reached for the dress inside my shirt before transferring it to my front. I caught a glimpse of Jimin walking away to continue washing the dishes out of the corner of my eye. What a relief. I finally reached my room and I entered that room faster than a cheetah. I slammed my entire body against the wall, sliding down it so I could sit down on the floor. Gosh, that was exhausting. First, I had to run through the rain all the way to my house, and now I needed to rush upstairs while attempting not to let Jimin notice my dress. I needed to rest, so I hid my dress somewhere in the closet before laying down on the bed. Finally, a place where I don't need to run. I wanted a nap, and I was dozing off anyway so I decided to take a much-needed after-school nap. I settled into the crowd of comfy pillows, slowly drifting away into the land of dreams.JIMIN'S POV
Turns out y/n was right. It had just started raining heavily. I'm glad she's not harmed. I felt the cold water dripping down my hands as I washed the dishes. Y/n's uncle is just upstairs, he had arrived a couple of minutes ago. I finally placed the last plate away. I was done with the dishes. I had finished washing the dishes. Before using a paper towel to dry my hands, I snuck out a sigh of relief. I heard the door slam earlier, so I assume y/n is in our room. I wiped my hands off and then went up to the trash can, stepping on the pedal to open it. I threw my damp paper towel in the trash and made my way upstairs to find y/n. In order to avoid startling her, I quietly opened the door. I discovered a sleeping y/n behind that door. She was sound asleep. She was sleeping so early for a reason I didn't understand, but I suppose she was simply exhausted. She suddenly began to wince. She sounded as though she were in pain. Was she dreaming, or what? I moved quickly past the bed while making an effort to be as silent as possible. It's harder than it sounds. Finally, I succeeded. To get to y/n, I snuck through the cushions. I wrapped my hand around her waist in an attempt to comfort her. As soon as I hugged her, her trembling stopped. I suppose it succeeded. I made the decision to rest with her and closed my eyes to doze off for a sweet nap.
Y/N'S POV
A hand was around my waist when I awoke. My gaze shifted to the hand as it moved. Oh my gosh, it was Jimin. He was right behind me. I felt him give the back of my head a soft kiss. Him being behind me allowed me to blush without being caught. Knowing Jimin was there to comfort me, I closed my eyes.
