You sighed after Manuela gave your class this weeks assignment. It was such a relief, something relaxing and easy! It seemed like your entire class sighed with you.

You had immediately walked to Petras side once the assignment was given.

"Hey Petra, would you want to be my partner for the project?" Petra looked at you before nodding.

"Let us be going," she said and immediately started walking.

"Hey wait wait wait where are we going?" You asked, catching up with her with a bit of difficulty.

"I was thinking we could be doing a hunt for preparing for dinner this night," she responded thoughtfully. She wanted to help the kitchen staff with dinner! How sweet! One small problem... Or two.

A. You don't know how to hunt.

B. You don't exactly think you want to.

You know meat comes from somewhere, you just don't want it to be done by your hand. (A/N: Or is it just me?)

The two of you kept walking until you reached a forest then kept going, only stopping once you reached the edge of a clearing wide enough to be able to see anything and everything.

Petra held her arm out to stop you then crouched down, hiding herself in the tall grass. As much as you adore Petra... With her hair she really easily stands out in the grass. She had assumed prime hunting position, grabbing her lance from its sheath on her back. It seems like she had locked on to a target and was ready to go for the killing strike. You covered your eyes, not wanting to watch exactly what was about to go down.

You heard Petra lunge and spear come in contact with whatever she was stalking seconds before.

"Y/N! I am having success!" Petra lifted her spear and you saw a rabbit lying on the ground, unmoving. Your body shuddered in disgust and discomfort and you turned away.

"Y/N? Are you being... I mean, are you okay?" Petra asked, circling around to face you again. You nodded hurriedly.

"Yes, I'm fine. Maybe... Hunting wasn't the best idea," you responded before clamping a hand over your mouth. You started to feel a bit queasy. Petra took a few seconds before she understood what you meant.

"Ah. I am seeing what you are meaning. I must apologize for my overseeing... I mean oversight. I should have been asking before we were going. I am sorry," Petra moved to take both of your hands in hers. You accepted her apology by squeezing her hands tightly. The huntress in front of you moved to go back to the rabbit and put it in the bag she was carrying.

"I was not knowing you were uncomfortable with hunting," Petra remarked while walking back through the clearing to the forest.

"It's," you sighed before continuing. "I understand it's a part of the circle of life. Us humans need meat to survive. I know that. I... Can't bear the thought of killing another living thing with my hands." Petra nodded her head at that.
