Chris was really in a pickle. She let her friend Willie, borrow her book, which she borrowed from the library. It was due tomorrow, and if it wasn't returned, she would have to pay a five dollar fine. Willie wasn't even done reading the book yet.
She went to Willie's house, and told him that the book was due tomorrow, and it had to be returned to the library. "I only read two chapters so far," said Willie.
"You want me to pay a five dollar fine, then I will!" snapped Chris. It wasn't Willie's fault in this. It was Chris's fault for lending him a book borrowed from the library.
The next day came, and Chris paid the five dollar fine for not returning the book. She was held accountable.
