Susan wished she had a normal like, like everyone else. The harsh reality was she had type 2 diabetes. She developed it from becoming overweight. She had to take her insulin shots every single day, to check her glucose levels. The pricking sensation on her finger, was like getting stabbed by a sharp blade.
Not only was Susan a diabetic, but she was in poor shape. She got very little in the way of physical activity. And, she was always hungry. She didn't like having to prick herself to check her blood sugar, but she didn't have any other choice.
Susan tried to manage her diabetes, to no avail. Her diabetes were out of control, that she wound up in a diabetic coma, and had her limbs amputated.
It was a sad state of affairs.
