Jeremiah's Point of View:
I feel like I've found her, my princess. The story I read as a child has been running through my head more and more lately. It has been driving me crazy as to why, but then I realized it was because of her. Sarah reminds me of the maid in the story. Spunky, determined, and care-free. All of the qualities the prince admired about his maid, and then threw his whole kingdom away to be with his true love.
Sarah is my maid. She is the one I want to make my Princess. The only question that remains now, is how.
The way her brown eyes fixate onto mine. The way her soft skin feels against my fingertips. Oh, to be the fabric she wears upon her body. It would be like holding herendlessly, and even that wouldn't be enough.
	"Jeremiah! Are you okay?"
My head snapped up, away from its thoughts. Avalon was seated across from me. She looked annoyed and worried. I cleared my throat and pushed the plate of food away from me. I wasn't hungry anyways.
"Apologizes," I forced out, "What were you saying?"
Avalon smiled sweetly at me and wiped her mouth, "I was asking, if you liked to read."
I nodded slowly, casting my eyes to the full glass of wine beside me.
"Is something the matter? What's on your mind, Your Highness," Avalon's voice was kind.
She's a sweet one. I enjoy her company more than Nessa and Valentina's, that's for sure. But my mind always wanders to Sarah. Going on these dates without her, I have to imagine Sarah sitting with me instead, to get through them sometimes.
I can't think like this. Kalum was right. I am a gentleman and I need to be accommodating to each lady here. He reminded me I tend to fall too fast.
I shook my head from my blur of thoughts and smiled at the girl before me, lifting my glass, "It's nothing, beautiful. Nothing for you to worry about. Now tell me, what do you like to do for fun?"
Avalon's eyes lit up, "Oh! That's a hard one. I enjoy studying tree types and insects. OOH and history books are probably my favorite. Well, besides puzzles of course. I love puzzles."
"Ahh... Those are all very... neat."
Sarah would probably say something outlandish like rolling headfirst down a giant hill. I chuckled to myself. Imagining her toppling over herself. She probably wouldn't actually say that, but then again, I never know what's going to come out of her mouth half the time.
"Do you think you and I would be a good match," Avalon spoke bluntly, pulling me from my thoughts once more.
I blinked at her. I almost responded out of habit with a reassuring "yes", but I knew it would be a lie. Fuck Kalum. I know what I want, and I know how I feel is real. Kalum wouldn't know real love, if it slapped him in the face.
"I believe my brother and you would make a much better match," I responded. It wasn't the entire truth but it wasn't an entire lie either. Her and Kalum could rule graciously and do puzzles in their free time. Perhaps under a tree, to spice it up.
Avalon seemed to like my answer. A smile reached her eyes. "Well thank you, I would have to agree with you on that."
The old me would be hurt by a comment like that, but now I have Sarah in my life. I smiled at Avalon's excitement.
"Friends then," I asked, extending my hand across the table.
	"Friends."
She took my hand in hers and we casually chatted throughout the rest of dinner. When we were done, I escorted her to her room. The air was light. Pressure-free. It was nice to befriend someone like Avalon. I am happy Sarah has someone here she can chat with. I've noticed the eye lasers Sarah tries to fry Nessa and Valentina with.
When we made it to Avalon's bedroom, she turned to me, "I know you like someone here, quite a bit. I'm not going to say names, but I think we both know who I am talking about."
	I stood straighter.
She continued, "She would be an idiot to turn you down. You're a great guy, Prince Jeremiah."
"And I hope to be an even greater one for her."
Avalon smirked and nodded quickly, "Well, goodnight then."
	"Goodnight, Miss Kennedy."
