"I am Sarah," the woman suddenly spoke, and for Ashraf, it was the most beautiful voice he had ever heard in his lifetime. He was taken aback by her. He didn't know how to react.

"Umm," was the only thing he could utter. It's as if he had bitten his tongue. "D*mn, Ashraf. Say something," he said, scolding himself for acting like a fool in front of the woman.

"Thank you," she said again in her melodious voice.

"I am Ashraf," he said, finally able to speak out loud, silently congratulating himself. "No need to thank me, I am just doing my job," he added, trying to make his face void of any emotion as much as possible. He shouldn't show any emotion towards a woman, especially a breeder. Because of the scarcity of women, their Alpha resorted to kidnapping the women of other clans so their clan wouldn't go extinct. More women meant more breeders, and more chances to bear children.

"But still, I want to thank you," the woman named Sarah said to him again.

"How are you feeling?" he asked, changing the subject. Eyeing her bruises and wounds.

"This is nothing," she said, looking at herself, then shrugged her shoulders.

"The healer will come here shortly, to give you some potion to help you with your pain," Ashraf said. He got up and was about to leave the room when the woman spoke again.

"You are not like them. You are different from them. I still want to thank you for everything, Ashraf," she said. Ashraf just nodded his head and left.

While he was on his way back to the main house, his head was filled with thoughts of the woman. 'You are not like them... You are different from them...' her voice was ringing in his ear over and over again. He shook his head to get rid of her in his thoughts.

As he was about to enter the office, the door burst open. Alpha Allister and Jubal came out of it. He saw Jubal stare at him angrily, but Alpha Allister was the opposite. Ashraf bowed his head to the Alpha in greeting.

"I have already sent a confirmation of our attendance to the King. Prepare yourself, both of you, for we will ride at dawn," Alpha Allister said, and he waved his hand to dismiss them both.

Ashraf bowed again to Alpha Allister before he left and went to his chamber at the back of the main house.

"Why did you let him go so easily, father? I told you he used his 'mumbo jumbo thing' on me!" He heard Jubal complaining to Alpha Allister before he turned the corner. He didn't hear what Alpha Allister answered Jubal, he didn't want to nor did he care.

The dawn came and Ashraf met Alpha Allister and Jubal at the main entrance of their village. A few warriors were riding with them. His father was already there to bid them farewell. They didn't change into their wolf form to go to the Sahara Capital. Even if it meant that they would take longer to reach the capital of the Kingdom. Being in wolf form, coming into another clan's territory is seen as a threat, and even though they have an ulterior motive for going to the capital, they should be seen coming in as allies,

The journey to the Sahara Capital would take them three days and two nights, so they would have to stop from time to time to rest, gather provisions, and hunt for food. It was not an easy journey, especially when traveling in the vast desert. The weather was their enemy. Even though they were accustomed to it, it would still be difficult for them, especially when they were in their human form.

"There is a storm coming," Ashraf announced to their group, while he was looking at the sky.

"Oh, so you are a weatherman now, Ashraf?" Jubal said with a scoff.
