"WHO ARE YOU!" Prince Badr's voice boomed in the entirety of Eleanor's chamber. The other Shafi was startled, he scrambled and darted towards the window before anyone could react. He jumped out of the window and shifted before hitting the ground.
"Sh*t!" Prince Badr shouted, then he mind-linked the warriors on the ground and Beta Sabir. 'We have an intruder in the palace!' he said.
The scrambling and the sounds of the warriors chasing someone could be heard. All the warrior guards were alerted. "Stay with Ella!" Prince Badr instructed Shafi then he darted out of the room to chase the intruder.
He met Beta Sabir at the palace garden. Warriors are running here and there, searching for the intruder. "Did you find him?" he asks the Beta. Beta Sabir shook his head. "There was no one here when we came," the beta answered.
"Impossible! He was just here!" Prince Badr exclaimed. "We were breached, and no one noticed it!" anger was evident in his voice.
"My Prince, be calm. We are searching the grounds," Beta Sabir said to him. "I already instructed Effendi Raj to check every suspicious individual that came to the palace," he added.
Amidst all the confusion and scrambling of warrior guards in searching for the intruder, no one noticed a frail woman blend into the crowd of curious people gathered when the warrior guards suddenly checked everyone who was at the palace ground.
The woman slowly made her way inside the palace, avoiding attracting any attention toward her. Her steps became faster as she was trudging into the hallway going in the direction of Lady Lina's chambers.
"Old Lady," a warrior guard called out to her. Her steps falter and she looks at the guard with a question in her eyes.
"May I help you, dear Sir?" she asked the warrior guard.
"Have you noticed anything unusual here?" the guard asked the lady.
"I just came back from the errand, Lady Lina asked me to do. I didn't notice anything, as you can see dear Sir, I am alone here," the lady answered.
The warrior guard nodded, "OK, go back to your work. Let us know if you notice something suspicious," he said to her. The lady nodded, then bowed her head, until the warrior guard left.
She continued on her way and entered Lady Lina's chamber.
"So did you, do it?" Lady Lina asks her when she finally closes the door.
"My Lady," she greeted Lady Lina, bowing her head and slightly baring her neck.
"I am asking you, did you, do it?" Lady Lina's voice went higher when the old lady failed to answer her question.
"I'm sorry, my Lady. I failed to do it," the old lady said in a low voice. She didn't dare to look at Lady Lina's face.
Whack! She felt her face sting, but the old lady didn't dare to move back or raise her head.
"You are useless, imbecile, wench! Just a simple matter and you couldn't do it! What good is your power when you can't even use it!" Lady Lina shouted. Her face was full of rage, and she lost her composure.
"The prince came back early, My Lady. I was startled and surprised, so I just ran out of there to avoid being caught," the old lady reasoned.
"You are useless! Useless! Useless! I don't see the reason why my father keeps you still. Argh! Now they will be suspicious of everyone! If you had only used that brain of yours and done it quickly, we would not be facing a problem like this!" Lady Lina exclaimed.
"What is going on here?" a voice asks coming from the doorway.
"F-father," Lady Lina said, startled by the sudden appearance of the Alpha.
