'Their paths crossed again, the warrior, the light, and the unwanted. Chaos will begin until light awakens.'

One of the shiny stones that encircled the tomb of Silu'ah shone brightly. These words were slowly emerging in the stone. Emitting a blinding light in every word slowly carved into it. The warriors guarding the tomb were startled when once again the tomb shook and a blast of light blinded them.

“It's happening again,” one of them said warily. After a while, the shaking and the light slowly faded. He blinked his eyes several times, adjusting them to the light that was now coming from the setting sun.

“We need to report it to the chief,” another one chimed in. He was also blinking, while slightly rubbing his eyes and shaking his head.

“It's been happening frequently lately. What is happening in our sacred shrine?” one warrior was wondering.

“I have no idea,” another one said. He was also shaking his head.

Since the first phenomenon happened in the shrine of Silu'ah a few weeks ago, the warriors guarding it have been experiencing this over and over again. The blinding light and the shaking of the tomb didn't just happen this one time. And now it had started to happen more frequently.

“I mind-linked the chief. We should wait for his further instruction,” the second warrior said. “This is beyond our control,” he added.

The first warrior nodded, and they both looked at the entrance of the cave. The shaking stopped and the blinding light was gone. It looked the same as it always had. Although they didn’t know what it was, they could feel that something big was going to happen.

“Yes, why don’t you let Sir Ashraf explain himself why he was here in the royal garden,” Prince Badr said to Shafi. Upon hearing his voice, Armin immediately bowed his head and bared his neck in submission to him.

“Your Highness,” Eleanor exclaimed, surprised by his sudden appearance.

“My Lady,” he said, acknowledging her by nodding his head towards her. Then he turned his gaze to Ashraf. He could feel Ashraf was assessing him too, and by the way, he looked straight into Prince Badr’s eyes and never looked down, he could tell this man wasn’t affected by the aura that he purposely discharged.

'What the–!' he exclaimed in his mind. Prince Badr was taken aback by the knowledge that this man was not an ordinary man or wolf. But he never showed his surprise in his demeanor.

“Greetings, Sir Ashraf,” he directly greeted this strange man when he stood in front of him. He purposely blocked Eleanor from Ashraf’s view.

“What an insolent man! Even in the presence of the crown prince, he dares to not show respect!” they heard Armin exclaim.

“Armin!” he barked at the boy.

“I am sorry, My Prince,” Armin apologized to him quickly, then bowed his head again.

“Forgive my rudeness, Prince Badr,” he heard Ashraf say, which brought his attention back to the man. Ashraf was bowing his head to him now, with his right hand in front of his chest. “I am Ashraf, from Drozosha Clan. Forgive me for invading your royal garden. I didn’t know it was forbidden for outsiders to enter here,” Ashraf added.

Drozosha,’ Prince Badr thought. ‘They just came in here. He is probably one of the ranking officials. But how can he withstand my aura? Even the Alphas can’t resist following or bending to me when I use it. Maybe because I didn’t release it fully so as not to alarm Ella?’ he wondered. Questions were swirling in his mind. Prince Badr couldn’t let his guard down, especially with a threat to Eleanor’s life. Something bothered him that he couldn't figure out about this man in front of him.
