"My lady, it's me, Shafi," Shafi's voice called out to Eleanor outside her chamber. She was just staring out the window, waiting for the healer. Today was the day when the Battle of Glory would commence. She hadn't started preparing herself yet, as she was waiting for the news about Armin. She knew that he had gotten the order to help her prepare herself to attend the commencement of the battle of glory, which was why she hadn't started yet.
But Armin was nowhere to be found. Eleanor knew that he had gone to the center to run some errands for her this morning, but he hadn't come back yet. The Battle of Glory was about to start in a few minutes, but she still wasn't ready. Upon hearing Shafi's voice through the door, she immediately opened it.
"Did you find him?" she asked the healer once she opened the door and was facing him.
"I am sorry, My Lady," Shafi answered her, "I checked every corner of the palace to find him, but no luck. He is nowhere in sight," he added.
"I have a bad feeling about this, Shafi. Armin is always here. But it's been hours since he vanished and it is so unlike him. Have you asked around if anyone has seen him?" she said, concern evident in her voice.
"Yes, My Lady," he nodded, his eyes downcast. "Surprisingly, no one has seen Armin since he left for the center, My Lady."
"Oh no," Ella gasped, placing her hand over her mouth. Maybe she's panicking for no reason and Armin will soon be back. Regardless though, it is never too much to check. Much rather be safe than sorry. "Please get me Badr here," she commanded.
"Yes, My Lady." He bowed to her.
"Why aren't you ready?" a too-familiar voice asked behind Shafi before the healer could take his leave.
"Thank goodness you're here," Eleanor exclaimed, she let out a sigh of relief upon seeing Badr. If there was a man that could help her to find Armin it was Badr.
"My Prince," Shafi turned and greeted the Prince, he bowed low and slightly bared his neck.
Prince Badr just nodded at Shafi to acknowledge the healer's greetings. The healer stood straight after the prince acknowledged him. He then went to the side to make way for Prince Badr as he started to walk toward Eleanor.
"I was asking Shafi to look for you. I am worried. Armin hasn't come back yet. He just went to the capital center this morning, and now, I can't find him," Eleanor immediately told the prince when he stopped in front of her. She was too worried about Armin to notice the change in Prince Badr's demeanor.
"And how is that connected to you not being able to prepare for the Battle of Glory ceremony?" he asked Eleanor, his brow creasing.
"Did you not hear me? Armin hasn't returned yet," she exclaimed, eyes widening, surprised at the irritation in his voice.
"I heard you, the first time. But I don't see the point of you getting worked up about a mere omega. You should get ready and we are going to be late," Prince Badr said to her, not a hint of concern in his voice, instead he seemed irritated by the fact that she wasn't ready for the Battle of Glory ceremony.
She couldn't believe that it was the prince who was saying those words. Eleanor looked at him closely, and she saw that he wasn't fazed by the fact that the omega was missing. He was looking at her like she was making a big deal out of nothing.
"It's Armin, your Highness!" she exclaimed. Her tone rose slightly.
"I know, he was the one that was supposed to be in charge of your needs, and now he is nowhere to be found and neglecting his duties. I will send someone to check where he is, and he will receive his due punishment when he is found," Prince Badr said to her in a matter-of-fact tone. His brow slightly raised when he heard the change in her tone.
