20. A Reason.

3rd POV

A small space can give us an opportunity to hear someone talk. Even if they whisper, we can still pick up the words.

"Did they really kissed?" One asked while clinging to her friend's arm.

"Yeah, I'm sure with what I saw" the other responded. "I really got a feeling they were in a relationship. They look good together".

"They do.." the girl excitedly agreed while even stomping her feet. "Lucy is so lucky, I'm so jealous".

"No, they are both lucky to have each other. I guess, she's Boss' first relationship and I admit, she's really that attractive". The other said as if accepting defeat.

While the two female workers gossips, one world was slowly falling into pieces by hearing those words.

The door opened and the two women got off the elevator but one remains. She stand still at the corner holding a paper bag while staring on the ground, mind keeps on repeating the same words.

'Lucy..'

'Kiss..'

'Relationship..'

"No, she won't" the person who's left alone inside mumbled to herself.

"Yeji wouldn't do that" she told herself before pressing the button, heading to the third floor.

As soon as she step out of the elevator, her eyes can't focus on her way along with her ragged breathing.

She won't easily believe those words. Yeji just told her that she doesn't want to see her but Ryujin knows that the cat eyed just said that and doesn't mean to the extent of being in a relationship with someone else.

Ryujin will only believe what Yeji will tell her and in every time they will talk or more like have an argument, she feels that Yeji is just mad because of the accident. But she's terrified that it won't be the only reason why the brunette was pushing her away.

She went to where Yeji's office was located but only see an empty desk.

Her heart was already racing even though she didn't run, her eyes keeps on looking everywhere.

"Whe-Where's L-Lucy?" she asked someone who's sitting beside the brunette's desk. She wanted to confirm anything coming directly from the person she loves.

The woman didn't replied as fast as she wanted her to and like confused by the current look on her face.

Ryujin was running out of patience but before she even ask again, the woman finally spoke. "She was called. Maybe she's still at our Boss' office".

That information just made her heart beats more frantically. Her confidence was slowly fading, being uncertain, unsure of the things that's once giving her hope.

Until she found herself standing at Beomgyu's office door.

Her hand trembles, scared of what to see if she would open that door. But she still put her hand over the doorknob and twist it open.

"Thank you... I feel the same" She heard the brunette's voice and her tone was not like how she talks with Ryujin this past few days and that alone, breaks the whiskered's heart.

What more when she saw them hugging, with no one around them. Their position allows Ryujin to see how Yeji was smiling while being hold by someone who's not her.

And that's what terrifies the whiskered.

Giving her a reason to stop.

And it just happened.
