25. Hope Not.

3rd Pov

Yeji was left alone.. a second.. a minute or more when she found herself following the two and it seems like they didn't know that.

Watching from behind, they were having a conversation. Though she couldn't really see the whiskered's face while she talks to the other.

That tall pretty blonde lady's name is Yuna.

Might be wondering how she knows Ryujin like it's been a long time.

And somehow, it's quite a time when she started to watch the whiskered every morning, painting by the seafront. Yuna has seen a glimpse of her subject but not entirely.

It's always the same person but in different angles and she knew that Ryujin was something else.

By that time, she was also healing and everytime she'll pay a visit to watch the sun rise, Ryujin was already there and Yuna unknowingly visits not just to watch the sun rise but for someone who she felt sympathy.

But those days came to an end when the whiskered no longer came and paints on her canvases every morning and that's when the blonde realized that maybe, she left.

The days go on and after more than a year, the whiskered came back.

It's not that she waited.

Maybe she's just looking for someone who's in the same page as her.

Or not.

Unlike the days where she'll watch her paint, every morning she'll only see the whiskered sitting on the sand, almost getting reached by the waves, as she watches the sun rise.

And that's the time she felt the urge to help her but she didn't know how.

She let some days pass by without approaching the whiskered but even watching her from afar still makes her heart ache.

Like the things that the person was going through was a lot more than was she had.

It was just a breaking sight when the whiskered was not crying, was not showing any sign of problem but just sits there while hugging her knees with uneven breathing. Eyes were closed and waiting for the sun rise to hit her skin.

Until one time, she sat beside the whiskered and told her that she needs a company.

Ryujin informed her that she won't be a good company but telling the whiskered that she knows, Ryujin just hummed and let Yuna stay.

They started off like that then soon, Yuna tried to get Ryujin to invite her to her house but she failed a lot of times.

But seeing how the tall lady wants to come over, she told her address and pointed at the house that could be seen from where they are sat.

And that filled up Yuna's heart. Knowing that she's helping someone, and this someone was slowly opening up to her.

Still. She respected the whiskered's personal space and never visited, just everytime that Ryujin was at the sea front where they'll get to talk a bit.

Not until a brunette came to her, looking so familiar, and was asking for someone's address that she thought of coming over the whiskered's house.

Coming back to the present, they arrived at a road side restobar where Yeji couldn't make herself step in and have her own glass of any alcoholic drink that the other two just got.

Any minute, the sky will turn completely dark but she stand there, watching through the windows. And looking at those eyes...

It was begging for Ryujin to at least look at her.
