22. Hold On.

3rd POV

In life, we meet someone who feels too familiar but we can't put a name. It's quite embarrasing when they look and talk to you as if you had some sort of connection but you've got no thoughts.

Here they are sitting in front of each other at the cafeteria of the building.

The presentation was long done by the time and it's fine since the brunette isn't the one to present, as well as her forgotten friend.

Lia was staring at her friend, eyes were tearing up by how she missed someone she grew up with. She feels happy to finally meet her again... Alive.

But the look made Yeji confused, still didn't spoke or questioned anything as she felt different around the person she doesn't know... Yet she felt close.

"Ahm... I think we're both spending too much time here" Yeji finally broke the silence, doesn't really know where to place her hands so she takes a hold of her cup of coffee to take a sip.

"You don't like coffees... It's too bitter for your likings". Lia said, watching the other. "You prefer hot chocolates... Ice creams..." She followed that made Yeji put her cup down on the table, and haven't even sip on it.

The confusion obviously grew as Yeji leaned back and started to fidget her fingers under the table.

She usually get annoyed when someone speaks like they know her more than she knows herself, she used to hate it.

Maybe because she knows that they may be right but she doesn't want to accept it.

But not until someone came and made her like the feeling of having someone know her... Deeper.

And she didn't felt anything against the other in front of her, instead, she found herself full of questions.

"Now, you're making me think that you know a lot" she tried to ease her mind with a chuckle. The glued eyes on her wasn't helping so she doesn't meet them.

Lie shrugged her shoulders before leaning forward, arms are resting on the table. "Maybe" she replied.

One word, not an exact answer but Yeji sided on the 'Yes'. She wanted to.

"Can you tell me more?" It was low but could be heard by the other. It's like she's not sure if she wanted to know more or it's more like, she's not sure if there's more to tell.

The giggle made Yeji look at Lia who's smile had gotten wider. But those expressions doesn't annoy the cat eyed girl but found herself wanting to reciprocate the smile but her troubled mind stops her.

"We actually grew up together." She says before taking a sip on her coffee. Eyes were sparkling as if reminiscing a lot of memories spent with the brunette. "And I'm happy that you're back but actually... What happened did hurt me".

Yeji was just there, letting the other continue.

"It's funny that I'll gonna say this but... We're each other's best friend... Even sister" she said, but her smile were slowly missing.

The brunette was the one to stare now as if convincing herself that the way Lia spoke didn't affect her.

"But a lot of things happened and we're here now, with you, not knowing who even am I to your life". Lia finished with a sigh.

Yeji had a moment, thinking what are those 'a lot of things' that Lia had mentioned.

"And what are those?" She asked, kinda nervous but Lia came close in disbelief.

"Really? Didn't uncle- no, your parents told you anything about it?" Her eyebrows were almost meeting as she spoke.

And with a shake of the brunette's head, another sigh left her mouth.
