Daniella's POV
We are somewhere between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. It's an island, St Lucia. I don't know how I gave into this but I remember Bea promising me it will be fun! The seven of us -Bea, Naila, Lorraine, Keira, Coleen, Anna and myself- took a private jet to the island. We arrived late on Friday night. We paired up to share rooms. I shared a room with Anna. Lorraine picked Kei. Naila and Bea didn't mind each other's company. It left an odd one out, Coleen Harrington, and she said she doesn't want company.

After a restful night, we are having breakfast in a private gazebo facing the Caribbean Sea. The breakfast looks great but I'll stick to black tea with lemon for a peaceful stomach. My baby is still running the show and five weeks in, it's still ugly mornings for me.

I'm noting that Naila and Coleen haven't addressed each other, not even once. They both seem to have a hostile temperament. Actually all of them except Kei look feisty.

"Is that all you're having?" Bea asked me.

"I'm not hungry."

"Are you on a diet then? You didn't even touch the rosè or the bubbly." She continued to ask. They were drinking on the plane. I declined.

Everyone is quiet, staring at me.

I turned to Anna. Only Anna knows I'm pregnant.

"She's not hungry Bea. What's the big deal?" Anna asked her.

Bea smiled crookedly and continued talking to Keira.

I stared into the cup of tea. I have nothing in common with them. I feel out of place.

"For today's itinerary, we have hiking, a botanical garden to visit, snorkeling, shopping, chilling out at the beach, spa, water skiing."

"We can't do all that in one day." Naila told her.

"I want to sleep. You guys can go without me." Coleen informed us.

This seems to be a surprise to most of them. "Coleen Harrington would rather sleep? What is wrong with you people! It's a vacation! We should be mommies gone wild!" Bea addressed all of us.

"I'm all up for it." Lorraine supported her.

"Some of us are not mommies. So are we supposed to stay in?" Naila asked.

"Oops love, sorry. You, Dani and Anna don't have to feel left out."

I don't feel left out in that regard. I have a lot to learn from them. How are they mommies and holding down jobs? Just thinking of how I'll be a mom overwhelms me. Lorraine is a big shot lawyer. Bea has a tech job in BC. I once thought of working for BC. Keira is a CEO. If I can figure that out, popping babies for Bruce will be a breeze!

Amidst all the fun of Bea's itinerary, there's someone who has zoned out. My conversation with her is still something I think about. She's looking at the sea, completely lost in her thoughts.

When the they scattered off, she didn't move.

"Go ahead. I'll catch up." I assured Anna so that she can leave. I moved closer to her. "I would offer you a penny for your thoughts if I had any. Will you take a dollar?"

Keira chuckled. "I'll accept a dollar." She took it.

"It's beautiful here. It's really peaceful." I noted.

"Yeah."

"Where is the best place you have lived in?" I asked her. "I'm assuming you're well travelled."

"Uh... I would say Provence."

"Funny. Anna wants me to have my wedding in Provence."

"It's beautiful." She answered with a fleeting smile.
