Bruce's POV
Dani slept over and it was amazing to talk to her all night and to make out in between. She has an interesting outlook on the world; not an everyday expectation but unique. She believes in working hard. I still insisted on paying her college tuition but she is adamant about accepting my help.
I really didn't mind.
"You haven't left yet?" Hayden peeked into my office.
I went out for a drink with her. It was great but as usual, things almost got messy. I ditched her before we crossed lines we can't come back from. The only person I wish to cross those lines with is Daniella.
"I was just heading out."
I am having a yacht party to end summer on a good note. I intend to surprise Daniella at the café. I'll pick her up so that we go together. I already have a dress, shoes and everything. I'll ask her to be my girlfriend. Afterward before sunrise I want to take her to my house in the Hamptons and make love to her. I am hell bent on it.
"I heard you have a party. I didn't get invited."
"Boundaries." I told her.
"Did she get invited?" Hayden persisted, coming inside and locking my office door.
"Who?"
"The girl who was here a couple of days ago. She calls herself Dani?"
"She's my girlfriend." Yet to be but I'm labeling this already.
Hayden is displeased. "What does she have that I don't? Why her Bruce? I have loved you longer!"
"Because I really like her. I don't feel the same way for you. We've been over this already. I don't have the patience to go round in circles."
"Okay." She shrugged. She's very upset. Her eyes are tearing up. "Have a good summer break."
She left and slammed the door shut.
I continued to study the dossier I ha e been putting together. Daniella seems clean so far. There's nothing alarming. I want to dig deeper but part of me doesn't want to find anything alarming because of how badly I want this to work out.
If I'm to beat traffic, I should probably leave. I'll pick her up and we can go together. It isn't so hot this afternoon and that is a relief. The theme of the party is strictly white and as such I have a white sophisticated dress for Dani. I had no idea what to buy but Keira offered to help. Ferrer, Tony and Bea will be at the party. Nick is still in Marseilles and won't make it.
I hit some traffic on my way home and as I waited, I spotted a girl in a bright red dress with a wide-brimmed hat walking out of a restaurant. She is with a young man in sunglasses. I looked closely and when the wind blew her hat away, I frowned.
"What the hell Daniella?" I wondered.
My first instinct was to get out of my car, approach her and demand an explanation but the saner side of me kept me in my seat gripping the steering wheel of my car firmly.
Do I have a right to be angry when our relationship isn't official? Yes! To me it is! How dare she! I have to draw some lines with her. I must demand that she's mine and forbid her from hanging out with stupid boys or any member of the male species. When they kissed, I lost it.
I got out of my car but then the traffic started moving and I decided confronting her while I'm enraged could result in me hurting her. I got back in my car and sped off in a mad rage.
She has a lot of explaining to do.
Izzy's POV
"I have a dilemma!" Daniella stormed into the bedroom looking as pale as death. "Anna invited me to a yacht party."
