Chapter 11 - Misaki VS Dropscythe Part 2 And Zai's Intervention

Dropscythe: "I don't know what you did, but you are really starting to piss me off!"

Dropscythe prepared himself to counter whatever Lukas was going to do. Lukas didn't say anything, staring at him with a blank expression. The silence went on for a while, making not only the students anxious, Dropscythe was equally as anxious mainly because he never faced anyone with this strange overwhelming presence. 

Within a moment, Dropscythe decided to make the first move, going in for a punch. Lukas dodged it with ease, making Dropscythe confused since he could tell that Lukas was badly injured but this shouldn't make full on sense because of the injuries he has. This flexibility was unnatural to him, like as if the body was moving on its own. 

Dropscythe continued to attack with each strike, but Lukas was dodging it all with ease. The teachers could tell that something was completely off here, so Yamino-Sensei began to teleport, looking at the other two, with them nodding in understanding. He then appeared with the other students.

Shu: "Sorry kids but I am going to have to get you all out of here for now."

Zaion: "What!?"

Shu: "It is for your own safety." 

The students end up arguing with Yamino-Sensei, but Zai was watching the whole fight between Dropscythe and Lukas. Dropscythe's next attacks kept missing until Lukas ended up countering one of the blows with a burst of lightning. The lightning was a dark black colour, completely stunning Dropscythe in place, making him feel burns everywhere.  Everyone was shocked the moment they saw this event occur. Zai was even more shocked, even more worried than anyone else because he didn't expect this to happen. 

Dropscythe: "Why you-"

Before he could even finish his sentence, Lukas grabbed him by the face and slammed him down full force, then started to throw punch after punch on his face. But Zai couldn't stand by and just jumped onto the battlegrounds not giving any shit. Yamino-Sensei tried to stop him but it was too late. Once Zai landed on the ground, he needed to get Lukas's attention.

Sonzai: "LUKAS!!"

Lukas stopped what he was doing, standing up straight to look blankly at Zai. Lukas's expression was still blank, like as if nothing was left inside himself.

Sonzai: "Get back to your fucking senses!"

Zai seemed to know what was kind of going on, but Lukas didn't seem to listen in the moment. He then moved at an insane speed, appearing in front of Zai. Lukas went in for a punch but Zai dodged it, sending off an explosion to knock Lukas back. 

Zai immediately went to check up on Dropscythe, seeing that he is still alive, but however he needed medical treatment. Zai immediately without hesitation threw him into the stands, forcing some of the students to immediately grab him. Yamino-Sensei was watching on, having a feeling that Zai should be able to deal with this situation since he is amongst one of the strongest around.

Zai turned to look at Lukas who just got back up.

Sonzai: "Looks like you're not going down without a fight huh... Fine!"

Zai begun activating his Magic, creating crimson red murder of crows flying towards Lukas at amazing speeds. The crows swooped in, but Lukas ended up releasing Lightning Magic to counter this and destroyed all the crows in one blast. The students were watching on in curiosity, seeing that this will be a perfect time to see the true scaling of how strong the Omni Magician is in comparison to one of the strongest around. 

Veibae: "The amount of power being used in one go. This is completely bad for Lukas.."

Ina: "What do you mean..?"

Veibae: "If he uses too much power, he could possibly injure himself greatly. Yet judging by this overwhelming feeling that is coming off of him and they way he is fighting, I don't think he will be able to handle much of the output he is using.."

Ina's eyes widen at this and Zaion was listening closely, her eyes widening a bit as well. The students and Yamino-Sensei were too focused on the fight to listen in to what Veibae and Ina were talking about. 

Lukas then charged towards Zai again, but he was ready this time. Zai created multiple giant steel rods above them, aiming it directly at Lukas as all of the rods came barrelling down towards Lukas. Lukas was unable to dodge this and it hit Lukas directly, pinning him to the ground, seemingly as the rods didn't do any critical damage. Lukas tried to move, but was unable to, forcing a form of reaction that Zai wasn't expecting. White flames formed out of Lukas, destroying the rods. Lukas then stood up, with Zai watching a bit with anticipation.

Sonzai: "Looks like I can't play around with you, ey?"

Lukas stared at him, not making any form of expression.

Sonzai: "How did you even learn a high level Magic like The Heavenly Flames....?"

Zai was not fully sure on how Lukas could have learnt this type of Magic in the first place since from his knowledge, Lukas wasn't even aware that he had Magic until a month ago.

Sonzai: "Though, I can tell that Magic of yours won't even last up to thirteen minutes."

Zai definitely found his solution as he pulled out of his ear what seemed to be a needle. But as he clasped it in his palm, it formed into a long pole. It is Zai's legendary weapon known as the Ruyi Jingu Bang. 

Zai then charges forward, moving fast to the point that Lukas couldn't react in time as Zai's weapon hits him straight in the jaw. A cracking sound could be heard as Lukas was sent flying into the wall of the arena. Zai stood there as the dust started to settle.

Sonzai: "I advise you not to stand back up, though I believe that you won't listen to me...."

Lukas then moved from the wall a bit, releasing a large wave of Lightning Magic. It went directly towards Zai. Zai then counteracted with creating red clouds around himself, then firing off red lightning towards Lukas's lightning. The bolts of lightning from both attacks clashed as upon impact, created a blinding light. 

Zai saw this as an opportunity and went in for the strike. Enlarging his weapon, it expanded into pinning Lukas into the wall again. Zai then started running towards Lukas and when he got there, he immediately put his hand on Lukas's forehead. But before Zai could do anything, white flames emitted from Lukas, which started to damage Zai immediately. 

He gritted his teeth in pain, but then released a form of Anti-Magic to counteract in the form of a barrier. Since the flames couldn't properly damage him any further, he began his next move. 

Sonzai: "DISPELL!!!"

He yelled on the top of his lungs, releasing a flow of Magic within Lukas which completely removed the remaining amounts of Mana he had left. Lukas was knocked out cold from this, being pinned still against the wall as Zai took a step back to see that he succeeded.

Sonzai: "Y'know, you have a lot of potential Lukas... Looks like I really need to train you after all..."

Zai wiped the sweat from his forehead, happy that it was over now. He then put away his weapon and started carrying Lukas to Yamino-Sensei. The students were confused on what to do at this point, but the other two teachers reached them and they returned to the Academy to put Lukas on life support for the time being, since they were all unsure on how much damage or self harm had been caused. Dropscythe was also badly injured, yet his injuries in the end weren't that bad at all, making him not need life support systems. 

The teachers along with Zai had something in common and they needed answers. So they went to Tanigo to get the answers themselves while Veibae, Ina and Zaion went to the Nurse's office to check up on both Dropscythe and Lukas.
