Chapter 30 - The Mid-Year Exams BEGIN!

It was now the beginning of June as today was the beginning of the Mid-Year Exams. Lukas did remember that it was going to be a physical type of Exam, though he wasn't sure what it was supposed to be. Lukas was informed that he had to wear some winter attire, which technically confused him since he was sure that June is supposed to be summer. 

So he went with a black coat with brown fur on the inside as the collar also had brown fur. His shirt is a vibrant purple as his jeans is a black colour as his belt is a brown colour. His boots were black as well. He made sure he was as comfortable as possible as he made his way outside first before Zai for a change. So he did a few stretches outside the front door to make sure he was ready, but as he just finished, Zai appeared, closing the front door behind himself.

Sonzai: "Oh? You did a bit of stretching so early?"

Lukas: "I wanted to give it my all is all."

Sonzai: "Glad to hear it. At this rate, you'll be able to pass. Come on, race you in a jog."

Zai then began with a head start, throwing Lukas off guard.

Lukas: "Hey!"

Lukas then began to jog after Zai as they had a little race to reach the Academy. After some time, they both made it to the Academy, of course Zai won since he has been around this city for a while. They both went to class, though when Lukas got there, he was tired out from that as he immediately decided to get a quick nap by his desk since he was there before the bell anyways. 

Soon enough, he was waken up by Ina who went to his desk, shaking his shoulder a bit. He neatened himself as he looked up at Ina.

Lukas: "Hey Ina.."

Ina: "Hey Lukas, you look a bit tired. Did you get sleep?"

Lukas: "Well yeah I did... But Zai made me race him to school..."

Ina got the idea immediately as she lightly laughed it off.

Ina: "I see. No worries Lukas, I'll be sure to tell you all the information you need."

Lukas: "T-Thanks Ina.."

He smiled lightly as he was grateful that Ina was being considerate. Ina recommended him to get some rest before the class were to begin, so he gladly accepted the offer as he passed out again. Soon enough, he woke up again as Akuma-Sensei walked into the classroom as he asked for the students' attention.

Vox: "Alright students. As you all know today is the Mid-Year Exams. However we haven't shared the specifics as you all will be working alongside Class 1B and 1C. Consider it as a conjoined exam. First, we'll be heading to the gymnasium to meet with the rest of the students so we can get this underway. So time is of the essence. Chop chop!"

Akuma-Sensei ended up clapping his hands together convincing everyone to leave the classroom as they began heading to the gymnasium. Once Class 1A made it to the gymnasium, it was revealed that both Class 1B and 1C were already there as the students were getting ready and talking to each other. Lukas didn't really talk much as he wanted to relax his mind, though someone he knows walked up to him to talk a bit.

Saruei: "Hey Lukas."

Lukas: "Saruei..?"

Saruei: "What's up?"

Lukas: "I guess I'm nervous..."

Saruei: "Aren't we all? I came to check up on you since we haven't chatted much at all in a while."

Lukas: "Yeah... You're right.. Well for the most part... I think I am doing alright for now as I managed to train myself up for whatever comes my way."
