For most of the day, Lukas and Melody travelled through the Central Districts, sometimes stopping to get something to drink, though soon enough, their fateful encounter would occur. They were walking as they were travelling around the shopping mall that was situated in the Central Districts.
Lukas: "No luck here either..."
Melody: "Well, it could be worse considering that we've searched the entirety of the Central Districts.."
Lukas: "Maybe we should-"
???: "Hey! Get back here!"
Both Melody and Lukas blinked as they heard what sounded like an old man shouting as they turned their heads to see a girl running away with something in her arms. Though the old man slowed down as he couldn't give chase, which made Lukas and Melody look at each other, giving themselves the idea that they needed to chase.
The two continued following for a while until they reached the outskirts of the Central District, yet what surprised the two was that the girl went into an abandoned warehouse. From the looks of things from Lukas' point of view, it would seem that this place was originally meant to be a warehouse for cargo that would've been travelled to overseas as he did recognize the old logo on the building that has seemed to have faded away.
Melody: "A warehouse..?"
Lukas: "I recognize this building... This used to belong to Atlas Trades, which was a small subsidiary of the Atlas Corporation..."
Lukas then decided to take off his hood as he looked around, seeing some old containers that would've been for shipping.
Melody: "Really?"
Melody then took off her hood as well as she looked around as well. The two were walking towards the main building that looked like it was crumbling down due to low maintenance.
Lukas: "Atlas Corporation used to have subsidiaries until the new Head took charge of the company. Yet that a few years ago... The Hardways were all about trades, marketing and technology. Yet they did appear during the times when war was used as a business venture... Which was when Atlas Corporation was first formed..."
Melody: "You know a lot about Atlas huh?"
Lukas: "I... I used to live here... My family is government officials who are important workers within the company..."
Melody: "You never mentioned much about your family. Did something happen?"
Lukas was hesitant as he stopped, making Melody stop for a moment as well. Though he turned to her, trying to answer truthfully as possible.
Lukas: "My family didn't really love me as their own anymore... So I was disowned from the family... But can we not touch on that subject? It's very sensitive."
Melody: "You're right... I'm sorry."
Lukas: "It isn't your fault... Everyone learns sooner or later right...?"
Melody: "Yeah. Let's head on in shall we?"
Lukas then nodded his head as he went inside the warehouse with Melody close behind. Interestingly enough to Lukas, he could tell that it was mostly empty. Yet Lukas had a feeling that there's more to this place.
Lukas: "Something's off... She was in here... But now she's not...?"
Melody: "Hey! We just want to talk to you!"
Lukas immediately looked pale.
Lukas: "Melody! What the hell are you doing!?"
Melody: "What? I'm just getting her attention. If we're going to talk to her, it would be best to confront her in a friendly manner right?"
