A/N:
To be honest, this chapter is mainly going to be covering one of the more important days of the month mainly because of the fact that it was a repeated routine the whole time through the month. So if you think I should release a special chapter that would take place through the month of March, do let me know.
Through the month of March, Lukas was mostly spending his time being trained by Sonzai and getting to know his future wife. Even though it was rather strange for him to get used to, he managed to get used to the routine. Doppio did sometimes drop by to check up on him, seeming kind of bad for what he did before, even if Lukas has told him not to worry about it.
This particular day, a week before he has to return to the Academy, he was being trained by Sonzai as per usual, though so far he has completely mastered the Wind Magic category, though his mastery over what he had learnt so far with his Fire Magic, as suggested by Sonzai, he hasn't fully grasped its full effectiveness.
They were training in the gymnasium of the Academy late at night under Tanigo's request. During this time since this was the middle of the first semester, many people would be at home studying up so it was the perfect time.
Sonzai stood there with his hands in his pockets as Lukas was on his one knee, breathing lightly as he was sweating. His body was aching a bit, though he managed to get back up to use Wind Magic to burst towards Sonzai as he went in for a kick, though he lifted his left arm, blocking the kick. The moment the leg made contact, the force of the kick released a gust of wind that knocked Sonzai to the side.
Lukas took this as the opportunity to strike again as he used his Wind Magic to get to him in quick succession. Each force from his foot released a burst of wind that propelled him forward and once he reached to Sonzai again, he began to attempt multiple kicks, making Sonzai use his one hand to block all of his kicks. Though after landing the last kick, Sonzai grabbed his foot as he pulled him forward, attempting a punch, though with his reaction being fast enough, Lukas stretched out his right hand, releasing a burst of fire towards him. Sonzai had no choice but to react that, letting go of Lukas and swiping the flames like nothing. Yet Lukas reacted immediately again as he went to trip Sonzai to the ground, which he then used his Wind Magic to propel himself into the air and rocket down towards him.
Sonzai rolled out of the way to dodge the attack Lukas did as he then recovered and went in for an attack. Yet Lukas reacted quick enough to dodge that attack as his legs were set ablaze with his Fire Magic to go for more kicks, forcing Sonzai to dodge the attacks. Sonzai dodged Lukas's kicks with ease and finesse as he was waiting for the perfect moment to strike.
Lukas then decided to switch it up by removing the flames from his legs to then stomp the ground, releasing a gust of wind to knock Sonzai back in the air. He thought this was perfect as his charged towards him using his Wind Magic, going in for a kick that he thought was going to land. He was wrong as Sonzai reacted in the air, dodging the kick as he grabbed Lukas by the face and throwing him to the ground full force. As the dust settled, Lukas was groaning in pain as he was on his back on the ground, which Sonzai then sighed, landed on the ground like nothing.
Sonzai: "There has definitely been improvements, but you aren't going to be able to face against a lot of people of you're thinking so much and repeating the same strategies. I can read you like a book Lukas."
Lukas then got back up, though his body was shaking a little.
Lukas: "I... I get it."
Sonzai: "Look, the way you're utilizing the different forms of Magic in tandem with each other is really good, but the way you're doing it makes you predictable. If you're going to use predictability to your advantage, then you need to be unorthodox about it."
