Chapter 26 - An Unexpected Attack

While Lukas and Kiara made their way out of the ruins, Lukas was explaining what he experienced within that strange vision he had. To him it felt so real, but he couldn't really explain why, but he felt like he was in an entirely new Reality, something he didn't expect to feel anytime soon. 

Lukas: "So yeah... That's what happened.."

Lukas did leave out parts about the history of the Omni Magician because he figured that it wouldn't really be of any importance to anybody right now.

Kiara: "I see... So this Veladora woman is literally the First Omni Magician? So cool!"

Lukas: "I will admit, she did seem kinda cool..."

Kiara: "Did you pick that up from Zai?"

Lukas: "Maybe...?"

Kiara: "Well, you definitely became more confident ever since the beginning of the year Lukas. I feel rather proud as the older sibling!"

Lukas: "I-If you say so..."

Suddenly out of the blue, he felt a sudden shock throughout his entire body like as if he felt a form of danger. He was sweating as he didn't know the feeling. Was it fear? Dread? He couldn't tell.

Kiara: "You alright?"

Lukas: "N-No..."

His body was shaking, telling him something was completely off as he could tell that something is wrong. He never felt this way before, except today as when it led him to the ruins, yet now for another reason he couldn't describe. 

Lukas: "I think the others are in danger..."

Kiara: "A-Are you sure..?"

Lukas: "Y-Yes..."

Kiara: "Alright! I'll carry you!"

Lukas: "W-Wait wha-"

Before Lukas could even process, Kiara immediately picked him up and began to carry him on her back as she began making a full sprint. Lukas didn't know how to react as he felt rather embarrassed being carried by someone, especially a girl for that matter.

Soon enough, as they got close to the mansion, Lukas could feel that something went wrong already as he could tell they were already too late. So he did the only logical thing.

Lukas: "K-Kiara... stop.."

Kiara then came to a halt as she stopped, confused.

Kiara: "Why're we stopping?"

Lukas: "Put me down first..."

Kiara: "Oh right."

Kiara then allowed Lukas to get off as his body felt like it was returning to normal. This feeling he wasn't used to as his body was beginning to react when he could tell something is off. So he would come to the conclusion that he can now somehow tell when there will be danger or something is not right. 

Lukas: "Kiara... We need to approach quietly."

Kiara: "Why?"

Lukas: "It's a hunch but trust me on this..."

Kiara then simply nodded as they began to trek quietly, yet once they saw the clearing to where the mansion was supposed to be, they then heard footsteps of what could be metallic heavy movement. This made them immediately hide in a brush thanks to Kiara's quick thinking. Once they were hidden, they noticed a strange mechanical humanoid as it was walking around, seemingly scanning the area as it was holding a rifle that didn't seem modern.
