It had been a few hours ever since Operation ATLAS. The Operation was considered a success, but a failure at the same time. While they managed to destroy the facility, with Zai managing to make it there on time to help them escape the initial explosion that destroyed the whole facility, there were some problems.

Most of them were unharmed, but only one of them was badly injured due to a predicament and one of their companions was taken away from them. Lukas Misaki was currently out cold as he was resting in bed, breathing being slow. Zai was currently in the room, watching over him as he managed to take a better look at Lukas at the moment.

From what he could gather, Lukas firstly didn't suffer any fatal injuries, which was a good sign. His lower right leg and his left shoulder was shot clean through, though seemed to have healed over time miraculously, which Zai couldn't understand why. But that wasn't the main thing he was worried about, it was Lukas's face that he was looking at. While his fringe was covering his right side of his face, it was bandaged up for safety reasons.

The injury he took could've damaged his eye, but now could also have a permanent scar as well. Zai felt like it was his fault that he let this happen. If he had listened to what Dezmond told him before, he could've possibly prevented all of this. He could've had a clear head and possibly even joined the operation sooner. He could've prevented this from happening to Lukas, his one friend that was willing to help him, even if he pushed him away.

He then heard a knock at the door as it opened, revealed to be Zaion.

Zaion: "Oh Zai... I wasn't expecting you to be here."

Sonzai: "Neither were you. I thought you didn't care?"

Zaion then sighed, taking a seat at the desk as she turned the chair to face Zai.

Zaion: "He is my rival, but I honestly feel like I need to help him in this case... Zentreya went on ahead of us, looking for Misaki. Dropscythe and I tried to catch up with her, but she went way faster than I anticipated. The moment we both got there, I just somehow knew that wasn't Zentreya. I opened fire with minimal rounds I could create and Dropscythe managed to force her back... That person... Malware..."

Zaion narrowed her eyes as her arms were crossed, thinking deeply about the situation.

Zaion: "She took Zentreya and simply left us. We both had to get Misaki out obviously, but I was glad that you came in the nick of time. Without you, I don't know if we were going to make it to the LZ..."

Zai was honestly surprised to hear this side of Zaion. It makes him wonder on how much Lukas actually affected her to get this soft and open about herself when she seemed to be quite distant. Yet then again, Lukas did somehow get Calli to change slightly, so he simply sighed.

Sonzai: "I blame myself for not arriving sooner..."

Zaion then shook her head, looking at Lukas now.

Zaion: "No one can blame you in this situation. I don't think we can blame anyone at all, besides that Malware bitch."

Sonzai: "You're probably right... Though has Melody said anything?"

Zaion: "No. She was willing to talk about it when everyone's with her. So she's waiting for Lukas to wake up to explain everything, she feels like she owes everyone that much."

Zai then gritted his teeth, looking at Lukas who is still asleep under the covers of the bed. Though still looking at his half bandaged face, he kept seeing the Lukas from his dream getting killed by the inner Chaos within himself. He can't let it happen, not now, not ever. He vowed to himself that he will keep himself in check and he failed, which caused Lukas to get hurt.
