Chapter 52 - The Keeper of Nature's Visit

It has been about a week now since the beginning of August and Selen helping Lukas get the hang of the competitive VR game known as Apex Legacies. Though the one thing that Lukas did mostly when he was alone at home was study, log in to Apex Legacies to get a match or two in and even have some talks over the phone with Kson.

This was more of a rinse, wash and repeat cycle for him as he spent most of his days in his dorm within the safety of the Academy grounds. It still infuriates him that he can't find out any information on what's been going on in the background, but he has seen some news reports of something that happened in Ireland. 

When he read about it, it was mainly about an unknown explosion that occurred as no one could tell where it actually came from. Some critics believed that it was the Governments testing out a new weapon, but to Lukas it didn't make sense as the Governments shouldn't be that stupid when it comes to testing weapons. As far as he did on research, the Human Governments mostly tested their new weapons upon open waters within the middle of the ocean where no one could get hurt or see it, but also sometimes test it in barren wastelands. So that theory is immediately debunked from his side.

He had a feeling that it could be the High Society, though he couldn't be sure as he then heard Veladora, being in her Vela disguise as she walked on in, carrying bags of goods in her arms and being excited.

Vela: "Woo! Man that was one hell of a blast!"

Lukas got a fright as he accidentally dropped his phone onto the couch. He turned to look at Vela who just arrived through the front door.

Lukas: "Did you seriously have to give me a heart attack Vela!?"

Vela looked at Lukas, chuckling lightly as she closed the front door.

Vela: "Oh come on~ It wasn't that bad~"

Lukas then sighs as he gets up.

Lukas: "Do you need help with the bags..?"

Vela: "Nah~ I got that covered. Besides, there's a special someone I met earlier today in the mall~"

Lukas: "Who..?"

Vela then had a devious smirk as she put the bags in the kitchen.

Vela: "It's someone I knew longer than you have. However she would like to meet you at a restaurant near the central park."

Lukas: "Why would someone want to meet me..?"

Vela: "Trust me~ She wants to meet you face to face and actually get to know you a little. After all, the last time you met her, you didn't really talk to her that much~"

Lukas was not understanding what Vela was getting at, but judging by how Vela is reacting, he felt like he has no choice in the matter as he wouldn't want to disappoint whomever he's going to meet.

Lukas: "Fine... What time?"

Vela: "Whenever you feel like it today. She knows when you'll be there anyways, so go there at your own pace."

Lukas: "Alright... I guess I better get ready now... I'll probably be back later today..."

Lukas then walked away, without saying another word as he wasn't excited to do this kind of thing. Yet he has been getting used to social interactions nowadays, but it doesn't mean he wants to do this on a regular basis. So he went to get ready and as soon as he was, he made his way out.

He walked around the city for a little while, trying to keep himself calm and take the air in. It was quite a peaceful day with the sun high above the clouds. The breeze was chilling as it was relaxing. Though he did remember Veladora mentioning that he would have to go to the restaurant next to the park, though if he remembered correctly, that restaurant is well known for its vibrant environment friendly place.
