Shota Aizawa has hypersomnia and insomnia. See what most people think is that he sleeps all day because of that. Well they are terribly mistaken. Even though that is a part of the reason it's only there to help him fall asleep. The actual problem which causes him to sleep so much is-
"SHOTA!" Mic yells.
Aizawa was blankly staring at the screen before him until Mic had called. He looked towards the taller man who was sitting on the desk besides him.
"What is it Hizashi?" Shota asks with his usual annoyed tone.
"Are you okay? You've been staring at your screen for the past 10 minutes." Mic said, voicing his concern.
"Yeah, just zoned out." He answered bluntly.
"If I hadn't interrupted you might have broken your record." Hizashi joked as he realized his friend was perfectly fine. Well as fine as Aizawa can get.
"Tell me how 10 minutes is anywhere near 30." Nemuri challenged from a different spot in the teachers' lounge. She knew math wasn't the man's best subject so she thought he wouldn't be able to tell.
"It's one-third of the time period Nems!" Hizashi exclaimed proudly having picked up a few things along the way of his teaching career.
"Look who finally learnt how to do math! To think you speak both English and Japanese but still couldn't do 20 x 5 in HIGH SCHOOL." She teased.
As the two continued to bicker back and forth Aizawa sighed, then resumed his unfinished work. He had been putting up student grades, trying to get the report cards finished before the end of the week. They weren't actually due until next Friday for the parent teacher conference. But there was something nagging him as if it were trying to warn him that he had to prepare.
He found this annoying so did as it told in an attempt to be rid it from his mind. And if it were wrong he'd have a lot more time on his hands to allow for naps and other things. Speaking of which he has training with Shinso tomorrow. The kid was being transferred to the hero course next year, sooner if someone drops out or is expelled.
Soon a bell rung letting everyone know that lunch had finished. Shota had finished about 3 students within the past hour and 9 students yesterday so he now has 8 more students before he's done for good. Deciding he'll finish all of the rest today, he got up and made his way towards his classroom.
He could hear his class talking from the opposite end of the hallway yet upon him walking in to the room his students were dead quiet. He stood in-front of his desk and pulled out a stack of papers.
"Pop quiz," He said and they practically burst into tears, "on the history of quirks." Sighs of relief sounded throughout the class. The only ones who seemed a bit disappointed were Iida, Midoriya, Momo, and Bakugou. Well Bakugou looked more like he was going to blow the place up and Midoriya was gonna cry but same thing. He handed out the pages and sat as he continued his task to finish the report cards.
School was out meaning Aizawa could begin his 5-minute walk to the dorms or stay in the building to grade. The decision was easily made as he began to collect and file the millions of papers in an attempt to organize his work. They ended up being simply sorted by whether or not they had been graded but not by person which is a problem he'd deal with later.
As he stepped out of the building the last of the autumn leaves were falling leaving the trees more and more bare by the minute. It was a sign the trees could no longer hold on to their now brownish amber leaves with the growing cold that spread faster than fire could ever wish to move. Aizawa thought back to everything that has happened during the past few months of school. It made him feel what people would describe as luck but also made him angry.
