Donna came back and I was upset. I got sick because one of the kids caught something at school. I try keeping away from everyone so I don't get the rest of them sick. Maybe this was payback. Donna and Nikki were fighting. This is why I was sick.

Currently, they were at each other's throats about how Donna does everything in the house while Nikki runs around with his friends. Frankie-Jean and Ashtyn curl up on the bed together while Gunner, Juniper, Storm, and Decker sit on the floor, looking at me. I stand at the door, listening. It pisses me off. They have children hiding out in a room upstairs while they fought about how one is more in their kids' life than the other. "Mom, why are they always fighting now? It's so annoying." June asks, standing beside me. "It's stupid." Gunner says, holding June's hand. After I hear glass shatter, I rush down the stairs and stare at my favorite vase.

"What the fuck?!" I yell. June made it for me as a Mother's Day present a few years back. "Abigail, calm down." Nikki says, grabbing me. "Nikki, don't fucking tell me to calm down. What would you do if I threw something that your kids made you? How the fuck would you feel?!" I scream. "Mom! Mom!" Juniper grabs my arms and holds them to my sides. "I'm sorry, June. Look, you two figure this shit out. Tomorrow I'm taking the kids to Disneyland. One of you is welcome to come. I cannot have both of you come and ruin the trip for us." I say, putting my arm around June. "Keep away from Nikki." Donna says and throws a piece of the shattered vase at me. "Fuck off." I say. I walk up to the room and see Frankie-Jean crying. "Oh, sweetheart, it's okay. Everything's okay. Why are you crying?" I ask, holding her. "They're fighting." She says, crying harder. She buries her face into my neck and cries as much as she can. "Sweetie, calm down. It'll be okay. Everything is going to be okay. Let's get some sleep. We can sleep in our own beds or we can all sleep in here." I say, looking at everyone. "Can we all sleep in here?" Decker asks. I nod and sit on the bed with Frankie-Jean on my lap.

"Which room is the biggest?" I ask, thinking myself. "The empty one down the hall." Gunner says, opening the door and looking out. "Okay, my strong boys, gather up the empty mattresses. We need them. Locate them to the empty room." I say, putting down Frankie-Jean. The kids scatter to different rooms and I take up my mattress. With help from Frankie, I push the mattress to the empty room, beating everybody else. "Get the pillows and blankets from your room and I'll get mine." I say, watching her run down the hall. As I start to leave, I literally run into Nikki. "Jesus. Hey, have you cooled down a bit?" I ask, crossing my arms over my chest. "Yeah. What you guys doing in here?" He asks, looking behind me. "We're having a sleepover." I say, cheerfully. He laughs, shakes his head, and kisses me. "Nikki, what was that?" I ask, shocked. Every trace of happiness was gone. "What was what?" He asks, holding me at my hips. "You can't just kiss me when you and Donna fight like it's the last time y'all will be together. You'll make up and that'll be that. I'll be in the background taking care of the kids until y'all fight again. Then I become the one you come running to. You need to make up your mind. I can't keep doing this. If you love me like you say you do, show me. Prove to me that you do. If you only love me when Donna and you fight, then don't bother to try to be with me. I don't want to be you when this happens. I want a real relationship with you, Nikki. I don't want something like this." I say. He stands there and wipes his eye. "I mean it, Nikki. Give me your answer. Do you love me? If you love me, prove it the best you can. If you don't, then find someone who can be this girl for you. I can't be." I say, walking away.

After everyone was either sitting or laying in bed, I told them the news. "Guys, we're going to Disneyland tomorrow for two days. So, get a goodnight's rest." I say, tucking in Frankie. "We are?! Thank you, mommy!!" Frankie asks, jumping out of the covers I just tucked her into. Mommy...? "Frankie...did you-" "Leave her alone, Decker." Gunner interrupts him. She hugs me tightly. "Frankie, baby, get to bed. We have a big two days ahead of us." I say, placing her back in her spot next to Ashtyn. I tuck her back in, kiss her forehead, and we all exchange our goodnights. The lights go out, but my mind doesn't. All I can think about is Frankie calling me her mommy.

"Hey, no fighting. Give her back the toy." I say, looking in the rear view mirror. "Sorry, Frankie." Ash says, handing her back the Barbie. Throughout the rest of the car ride, everything else went smoothly. Nikki was with us. He wanted to spend more time with his kids. Donna said she had "things to do anyways." Pretty fucked up since her only kid with Nikki called me her Mom the night before. It does piss me off, but today is supposed to be our good day. "Mommy, I gotta pee." Frankie whispers. "What?" Nikki asks, looking at her. "I have to pee." Frankie says again, rolling her eyes. "Okay, sweetie. Next gas station I see we'll go pee." I say, looking at her in the rear view with a smile. Only three more miles up the road and we find a rest stop. "Alright, this is our last pit stop for the rest of the way up. If you need to go now, go. Now." I say, getting out of the van and stretching a bit. But, that was a mistake for me.

I run to the nearest bushes as the contents of my stomach come up. "Abby, are you okay?" Nikki asks, pulling my hair back. I nod and continue to throw up. He rubs my back and calms me down as I finish. I wipe my mouth and sigh. "I hope I'm not like this all day." I say, walking towards the bathrooms where the girls are already in there fixing their hair. "Mom, I grabbed you something." June says, handing me a bag. "Thank...you....?" I say, taking the bag in all my confusion. I go into the big stall and open the bag to find a pregnancy test. "Juniper Lotus Cobb Sixx!" I yell. "Sixx?" I hear Nikki's kids ask in unison. "Mom, just use it." She says in annoyance. You can hear the eye roll. I open the the box and pee on the little stick. After doing my business, flushing then washing my hands, I wait.
