"Open it open it!" They all exclaim, most of them holding cameras up while they film Amberlee open up her present, her standing up while opening up a large one. Amberlee gasps when she finishes opening up the box, it revealing a purple desk chair. "Since you are a purple maniac freak I got you a purple chair to sit in when doing your work from home work." Amir says with a smile.
Amberlee rolls her eyes while smiling. "I guess I can give you twenty percent of a thank you."
"And I will give you twenty percent of a you're welcome." Amir smiles while pointing at her.
They all laugh in union. Today was actually very fun and Amberlee had a really good time when it came to spending time with everyone plus the amazing show that was put up for her birthday at the community pool. It was truly amazing, talent shows of people blowing fire out of their mouths and over things and the final touch being the fireworks. That was Amberlee's favorite out of it all, the fireworks were amazing. It made shapes and it was all kinds of different colors as well. The lights were amazing, she loved it all.
But...her mind wonders...
Yes she knows that after High School most think about college but with Ryder...no, she knows college is not in that dudes radar, so why is he back? She doesn't know why she keeps thinking about it but she does.
He just seems...different. When it came to Ryder one thing that definitely annoyed her the most was his smile. The boy always smiles every single time she saw him, either talking to her or someone else, that was just his signature face, his smile. When she saw him he did not smile once, his face was blank and it was neutral. She can't help but wonder, she can't help but wonder why he is actually here and why he even came to the first place.
She just wonders about him.
She can't honestly say she likes the guy but truth be told she can't say that she hates him either. Throughout her High school years of knowing Ryder she has learned yes he is indeed a asshole but...not as bad as a asshole as the typical asshole. Yes he likes attention but he never acts up on it, at least she doesn't think that he does, he never did when she was around. He also did give her good advice when she was trying to figure things out, made her roll her eyes and laugh when she had a argument with her parents, definitely being grounded more than once throughout the High School years.
But honestly she has to say that she is impressed.
Yes, Lucas did not make things easy for Ryder throughout his years in High School but despite every little thing and every little glance Ryder still acted the same, always has the same behavior, Amberlee never saw him mad or sad or anything about it. She knows if she was in that situation she would be pissed. Maybe he was pissed, but she just never saw him looking pissed.
Well he looked pissed today.
"My twurn!" Annalise exclaims cutely, going over to Amberlee and handing her a small rectangular present.
Amberlee smiles at Annalise while taking the present. "What did you get for me sunshine?" She says while opening the gift, Annalise giggling and her hands clasped behind her back while she does. Amberlee goes to take out the present, her smiling brightly at it.
"Name pwate." Annalise says happily. It is a purple name plate, seeming like a metal purple because it is good kind of weight on it. It holds Amberlee's first and last name on it, it holding two stars at the end of the name plate. "To put on your dwesk." Annalise adds in.
Amberlee smiles widely, going to hug her tightly and go to tickle her making her laugh. "I love it! I love it!" She says to her in a playful voice, Annalise still laughing hard while Amberlee tickles her.
