Amberlee turns off her alarm, turning on her back and smiling a little, grateful that she is back in her own bed. It has been a week since the whole....kissing thing, and truth be told Amberlee is glad from the break of both the business classes and from Ryder to put her into the right mind, and she has missed being back here with her family.
She hears music from the kitchen and laughs and it makes her smile, so thankful that it is the weekend and she is going to use this day as a complete day of just forgetting about her job and work and...
The boy who shall not be named.
Amberlee gets out of the bed, her going to make her way inside of the shower and bathe herself. After she gets done she gets out and moisturizes and blow dries her hair, leaving her damp long hair in a low ponytail.
She takes out her makeup that she had to get a week ago, foundation and concealer of her color being the makeup. Amberlee never wears this kind of makeup but now she has to, well at least with one particular spot...
Because the fucker gave her a hickey.
She didn't notice it until the morning after the amazing make out session....yeah she isn't going to lie there. She screamed right into the mirror, and it caused for Holly and Erica to try and run to the bathroom to get if she was okay, in which Amberlee lied and said she thought she saw a spider. From there she went to the makeup artist Destiny that works for Erica and Holly for makeup advice, because she did not want to ask any of her cousins or auntie's or no one here because somehow she knew it was going to get out and she cannot have that.
So Destiny taught her the just the right amount of makeup to use and tricks to make it seem like it was her clear skin, and yes Amberlee practiced and practiced until she got it perfectly, so that is what she does now. She carefully puts the makeup over the purple mark. She pays attention to it carefully, her getting done after a few minutes and smiling to herself, it just looking like her regular skin. She knew she would have to learn how to cover it because she always wears her hair up when she is lounging and she knows without a doubt if she walked into the living room with her hair down on a Saturday morning it would have raised eyebrows.
For everyone.
She knows it's sad when she has become this good and observant at seeing things and lying about it but for now it is just what she has to do, she tells herself she will tell her parents that she made out with the guy they completely hate in a few years or something.
But at least she doesn't have to tell herself to be happy today because she is, she is actually excited to be back home. She makes her way out of the bathroom, going to change into some lounging clothes of sweatpants and a oversized shirt before before she makes her way out of the room, seeing everyone standing and sitting around the kitchen.
"Morning Ambie!"
"Good morning Ambie!"
"Hey Ambie!"
"Good morning guys and girls...and Amir." Amberlee responds.
"Hey!" Amir throws his hands up.
"Your dad is singing like a complete maniac-"
"OH I WANNA DANCE WITH SOMEBODY!" Lucas booms out while holding a big cooking spoon in his hand.
"Woah!" Amberlee exclaims while hiding behind Max. "What's wrong with him?"
"I've been asking that for a long time now Sweetie." Max responds, her sitting on the barstool with Annalise in her lap, Annalise eating a pancake on her plate.
