Chapter 69: Staying Together

Stephanie puts on her green shirt, her being dressed in a simple green T shirt and black leggings and her green sneakers, putting her hair up in a high ponytail. She lets a small smile form on her face, looking at herself and seeing the tired expression but also the happy expression. The past weeks have been...interesting. She goes in and out of moods but today she is feeling particularly happy because she is having lunch with Eleven.

She worries for Amberlee, her reactions and state in the hospital really made Stephanie sympathize with her and she wants to ask her if she's okay but at the same time she knows she is focused on Ryder now and him getting better, plus she knows how strong Amberlee is but...complicated as well, she doesn't want to ask the wrong questions to her.

"Steph goggly bear!"

Stephanie laughs, her making her way out of the bathroom and going towards Amir who closes the apartment door behind him. "Goggly bear?"

"Yeah that sounds horrible." Amir replies making Stephanie laughs. "How are you feeling?"

"I feel good actually, ready to have lunch with Eleven." Stephanie responds.

"Good, just tell her everything Steph. I mean Auntie El gives the best advice it scares us sometimes." Amir says making Stephanie chuckle. "She's just so wise, just explain everything you feel and I promise you, you will feel more better than you do."

Stephanie smiles at Amir. "Thank you. And I'm sorry I have been all over the place."

"You have absolutely nothing to apologize for." Amir cradles her face. "Screw the news, I know you."

Stephanie smiles at him, going to kiss him softly. Amir kisses her back just as softly, them both smiling into the kiss. "What are we going to do when we get back?"

"Maybe we can get that amazing red velvet cake at the cake shop and eat while saying how our lunches went." Amir says.

"Sounds good, man that was some good cake."

"Yeah it was." Amir responds. "Let me just shower and get ready then we'll go okay."

"Okay."

Stephanie waits on the couch while Amir showers, a light content smile filling her face. Ever since her and Amir talked they both just decided not looking at news until things calmed down. She is glad because at least she doesn't have to worry about negative comments she knows is going to bring her down. It felt good though to see Amir defending her like he always does but in front of so many people and not being nervous at all.

Yeah, he was pissed.

She has never seen Amir pissed, he always holds a smile on his face and chill always describes him, it was a once in a lifetime thing to see and with good reason, it wasn't particularly nice with what they were saying about Amir either, calling him foolish and a fool for liking Stephanie and being with her. Amir is a smart businessman, and it is not right and she knows how pissed it made him for people to come at both her and for the name he has made for himself.

"Alright ready." Amir says while making his way out of the room, him being dressed in joggers and a simple T shirt and sneakers, all of which being light grey.

"Okay let's go." Stephanie responds, both of them getting into the car and Amir going to drive off. "So looking forward to lunch with your mom dad and sister?"

Amir shrugs a little. "Yes in the aspect as they are my family and I love them and my mom and dad are amazing funny we always have a good time in lunch. But no....seeing as how my mother is crazy."

Stephanie laughs. "She isn't crazy."

"Yeah she is." Amir states matter of factly. "Last lunch she made me make peacock sounds while eating for her 'entertainment' she said." He quotes.
