"The fuck are you doing?" I call out for him as he runs through the hallways with a cheesy smile on his face, his shirt stained with a drink which I assume is the can of beer in his hand.
"Get away from me, I'm drunk!" He pushes me away. "Just so you know, I'm very dangerous when I drink. I could kill you." He laughs, taking another sip of his beer.
"Aiden, what the actual fuck is going on?" I hold him up so he doesn't trip, he looks at my angrily and tries to escape my grip.
"I thought I told you not to touch me!" He whines, pouting his lips. "I'm gonna be mad and then I'll—" a hiccup suddenly comes out from the back of his throat. "I'll smack you so hard and you'll look all weird and fucked up."
"Why were you drinking in first place?" I shake my head when he giggles, his face blushing a dark red, his face softening.
"It feels nice." He lets out a weird laugh, not how he usually laughs. It's deeper, sounds different. "It feels nice to forget, even if it's just for a few minutes."
"Forget what?" I tilt my head to the side, trying to distract him while dragging him to his room but it doesn't work.
"Come on, nick!" He laughs. "It's only been 75 hours, how did you forget so fast?"
I roll my eyes, holding my hand out for him like he's a child. "Come on, let's get you to bed. I don't want to drag you, don't make me."
"No, dad! I'm not going to bed!" He cries, pushing me away. Dad? Did he just call me dad?
"Aiden stop arguing with me and please for the love of god just get the fuck up—"
"What the fuck is going on?" Somebody calls from behind.
I turn to see Karl behind me, his head tilting to the side as he approaches us in confusion, looking at aiden.
Aiden immediately pushes me out of his way, running into Karl's arms and embracing him tightly, leaving Karl even more confused.
"Hey, kid." He says quietly, cupping aiden's face as he slaps his cheeks lightly. "You okay? What's up, why're you crying?"
"I don't want to go to sleep." He whines, squeezing Karl tighter. He just chuckles in response, glaring at me in confusion.
"Okay? Nobody is forcing you to go to sleep. Stay up as long as you want." He returns aiden's embrace, gently removing his hand from his waist, wincing in pain when aiden holds down onto it too harshly. It got damaged from that day.
"He's drunk." I mumble to Karl.
"I know." He mouths back, ruffling aiden's hair. "Go get Asher, yeah? I'll handle him for a few minutes."
"Aiden, give me your cellphone." I demand, he shakes his head like a child, refusing to listen to me.
I roll my eyes at him, reaching for his pocket and unlocking his phone myself, dialling Asher's number, though I struggle to find it.
The phone rings three times before the call ends, alerting me that he's not picking up his phone.
"He's not answering." I say to Karl simply, passing aiden's phone to him which he barely misses, almost dropping it to the floor and breaking it.
"Take him back to his room." Karl whispers to me. "He's exhausted."
"I don't want to go," he whimpers against Karl's shoulder, smacking his back. "I want a beer, I don't wanna sleep."
"Shh, it's okay." Karl brushes his hair to the side, kissing his forehead. "If you get rest I'll give you beer tomorrow, yeah?"
"What the fuck?" I question, scoffing.
