"They don't have to know so soon." Karl reaches out for my hand as we walk through the halls. "I mean, I don't think we'll have time to tell them. Considering this random, urgent meeting."

"I'm sure it's nothing important." I shrug. "We'll deal with this and we can go to sleep, I promise."

"What if it takes long?" He complains.

"I don't think it will. If it does, you can go to sleep and I'll take care of it." I press a kiss on top of his head.

"I'm not going to bed without you after we just got engaged." He frowns, looking up into my eyes. "I'll wait for you, I don't care how long it takes."

I smile gratefully, satisfied with his answer that I wasn't expecting.

I push the door open, only to find the lights closed. I shoot karl a confused glance and he returns it, just as confused.

Just as I'm about to flick the lights on, my heart jumps out of my chest.

"CONGRATULATIONS!" a crowd of people yell at the same time.

Karl lets out a deafening scream from beside me, jumping right into my arms as he covers his face in my chest out of fright.

I laugh at the sight infront of me, all our friends and so many people I don't seem to recognise stand infront of me, all clapping and cheering.

Clay and aiden are standing on the table, yelling and stomping like maniacs.

The entire room is sprinkled with sparkling metallic confetti, a huge sign that says 'congratulations on your engagement' behind the huge table.

George is the first to approach us, karl jumps right out of my arms when he sees him.

They embrace eachother tightly, squealing like little kids as they jump around. Anastasia immediately steps in, snatching Karl's hand and looking down at the shiny ring on his finger.

Luke is the first to congratulate me.

"Congratulations, my man." He laughs as he smacks my shoulder, pulling me into a tight hug. "I'm so proud of you."

I hug him back, shutting my eyes as I mutter a thank you.

I flinch when clay approaches me from the back, picking me up and throwing me over his shoulders but immediately groaning out loud and almost dropping me.

"Fuck, you're heavy." He slaps my back. "But congrats, man. I love you." I smack him angrily on the shoulder but hug him when he starts laughing. I can't stay mad at this shithead, he's like a brother to me.

Aiden is the next to come to me, looking at me up and down like he's disgusted as a joke.

He suddenly coughs, looking away and blinking dramatically. "You're married? Ew."

"Fuck you." I roll my eyes but he immediately laughs and hugs me, wrapping his arms around mine so that I can't move or escape his grip, and he's surprisingly really strong.

I glance over at karl, who's currently being suffocated by a gushing Tina, she sweeps him up into her arms as she squeals.

"Do you believe this?" Clay chuckles, wrapping his arm around his boyfriend. "Little Nicky was a single, lonely little shit like, 10 months ago." He pouts jokingly.

I groan as the couple both laugh, staring at my bothered face.

"I'm so happy for you, Nicholas." George smiles, tilting his head slightly. "I really am." He slaps clays arm away and takes my face in his hands, slapping my cheek like, perhaps a million times.
