"I'm going to sleep." Victor yawns. "This is way too fucking much, it's too late for this shit anyway." His accent sticks out.

"Wake me up tomorrow." I say to him, leaning down on my bed as I throw the cards aside, shutting my eyes and sighing loudly.

"I think I should check on Asher and aiden." Cleo smiles. "Ela, you coming? I can just let you know if you don't want to come."

"A little heads up would be nice." I smile at her. She does it back immediately, before leaving and closing the door behind her, leaving me and Cassidy sitting in silence.

"Are you gonna leave, too?" I chuckle, not bothering to look at her as I stare up at the ceiling. But surprisingly, she doesn't move.

"I want to stay, if that's okay with you. Some company would be nice." I finally decide to turn to her, sort of confused.

"Sure, that's fine by me." I say, still kind of confused. Though I desperately want to go to sleep, I can spare some of my time for her. I barely talk to her, anyway. I guess I could get to know her, talk to her more. "Wanna continue the game?"

"I just want to talk, if that's alright." She flashes me a short-lived smile, a fake looking one.

I furrow my eyebrows. This is gonna be a long, awkward conversation. "Anything specific you want to talk about?"

"Yeah, actually. If you don't mind, that is." She rubs the back of her neck. "Can you tell me what was going on with aiden and Zachary before all this?"

I swallow the lump in my throat, shrugging cluelessly. "I'm not sure." I say honestly. "I mean, I always thought something odd was going on between them, but I never knew they were serious."

"Aiden really put on a show that night." She cringes at her own words. "Fuck, how was I so blind all this time?"

"You like aiden?" I suddenly ask.

"What?" She looks into my eyes in confusion. "No- no, it's not like that. I mean I guess I used to like him, not anymore."

"You sure?" I confirm.

"Yeah. I just don't feel that same attraction towards him anymore, I think I was fucking stupid back then." She shrugs, honesty in her tone. "I still want to be close to him, form a bond, but not something romantic. Suddenly, I feel like I want him to be something like a brother to me?"

"He's the only person that's caught your eye since you got here?" I chuckle, looking down at my legs crossed under me.

"Why did you say it like that?" She rolls her eyes playfully. "I mean I guess, yeah. There are barely any boys my age, anyway. Aiden was the first and last boy I ever fell for."

"What about victor? He's a sweet kid. He's goofy though, I doubt any of his relationships will last in the future, he's a dork." I brush off my own comment.

"He's cool, not in a romantic way." She warns. "He's one of my closest friends, he's like a baby brother to me."

"He's older than you." I chuckle.

"Barely. Plus, he's tiny." She shrugs, laughing at her own little joke. "Just because I'm a few months younger doesn't mean I can't treat him like a baby brother."

"Okay, forget Victor, are you interested in older people?" I wiggle my eyebrows.

"By 'older people' you mean—?" She nods her head forward, clearly not getting my point or understanding what I said.

"I mean older people, dumbass." I roll my eyes. "Maybe someone over the age of 17? Maybe even older than 30."

"Ew, no!" She immediately refuses, gagging. "There's no way in hell I would date an old man. Not in this universe, not in another."
