"What the fuck did you do?" He demands an answer, gripping my shoulders tightly so I don't escape or try to get out.
"It's none of your fucking business." I spit back at him. "You don't have a say in this, I'm old enough to make my own decisions."
"No the fuck you're not." He raises his voice.
"Okay, so what if I'm not?" I shrug. "You've known me for like, what, a week? I get it, you're my brother but that doesn't mean you know everything about me. You were never around. Even if you were, it wouldn't change a thing. It's none of your business."
"Why do you have to be like this, aiden?" He groans. I'm making him angry and I know it, though that doesn't mean I'll tell him. None of his fucking business. "I'm just looking out for you, I want to talk to you."
"Looking out for me?" I laugh sarcastically. "You don't know shit about me, you don't know what's good for me and what's not."
"But I know damn well Zachary isn't good for you." He nods his head, poking the inside of his cheek with his tongue.
Now, Nicholas, you just crossed the red line.
"Zachary isn't good for me? Who the fuck do you think you are talking about my best friend like that? Have I ever complained about your friends being around?" I few seconds ago I was whispering because nobody had to hear this conversation, but I changed my mind. "Oh wait, sorry, there's nothing to complain about because atleast they're all more respectful than you. What's your fucking problem with Zachary?"
"He's not anything like you, Aiden." He lowers his voice. "He's weak, he's sensitive, unlike you. You two just— aren't a match. It's a fucking match from hell, you don't work."
"You don't know shit about the two of us. Zak is my best friend, he's been by my side for years." His sympathy doesn't seem to convince me. "Just because we had an argument a few days before you first saw him doesn't make him a bad person. You don't know shit about him." I repeat.
"Maybe I don't know shit about him but I know you had sex last night." His fake smile drops, switching to a more serious tone. "I may not know everything about you, but I know that you have a weak spot for that boy. And that he has ruined you."
I clench my fists, my nails digging into my palm roughly, I think it's starting to bleed. I suddenly raise my hand, swinging my fist at him in fury but he blocks it just in time.
He doesn't say anything, his expression doesn't change in the slightest. He's acting like he actually expected this, like he isn't surprised by how I'm reacting.
I stop trying, there's no point, anyway. I release my hand from his grip, looking away and not knowing what to do.
"You are so weak. You are so weak and it's all because of him."
"What the fuck has gotten into you? You're not like this, nick. Where's my fucking brother?" My voice breaks. "The brother who accepts me for who I am, the brother who would defend me when I got hurt by kids on the streets, the brother that actually seemed interested in my love life a few days ago?"
"I'm still the same fucking brother, aiden! It's you who makes bad decisions to fuck this up." He defends himself immediately, and he sounds so stupid while doing it because this argument makes no sense at all.
"So it's Zachary who's ruining us?" I try to ask calmly, though I definitely sounded more angry than I am.
"Yeah, him."
"Well then let me fucking tell you something," I start, stepping towards him, pointing an index finger to his chest. "It's you who is ruining us. It's you, who's ruining Zak and I. Your sympathy doesn't fucking matter to me when I have him."
