"Aiden, what the fuck are y—"

I suddenly grab him, pushing him to the wall and slapping a rough hand on his mouth to shut him up, before anybody else heard anything.

He gasps against my hand in shock, yelling something inaudible and trying his best to push me away but failing.

"What the fuck are you doing here?" I hiss at him angrily, he pushes me with all his strength once and succeeds to get me off of him.

"No, wait a second, what the fuck do you think you're doing?" Asher laughs sarcastically, clearly shocked by whatever the fuck is happening.

"What," I shut my eyes angrily, taking a deep breath. "The fuck are you doing here?"

"I can't check up on my friends now?" He screams. "What the fuck are you doing, aiden!"

I look behind me to stare at the perfectly-made bed and the empty drawers and cabinets, a huge backpack on the floor waiting for me to pick it up.

He looks me up and down, and it hits him that I'm wearing my suit, and he suddenly starts to shake his head repeatedly.

"No." He mutters. "No, no, no, no, aiden! Please, don't." He suddenly approaches me, dropping down onto his knees on the floor.

"Asher, get the fuck off of me—"

"You can't leave, please." He cries. "Don't leave me, don't do this to me again. Don't make me suffer like this again, aiden."

"You'll manage." I mutter under my breath, looking up at the ceiling so I don't have to look down at my bestfriend breaking down on the floor.

"No the fuck I won't, aiden!" He screams. "What about your brother? Cleo? Ela? Victor? Me?" He sobs, tears running down his face. "You can't fuckibg do this to me, please. You can't leave me to be in pain like this—"

"What about me, Asher?!" I yell back at him. "What about me, huh? What about Zachary? Why does nobody talk about us and how we suffer?"

He looks up at me, his big brown eyes filled with tears and his big lips pouting at me.

"You don't know how much I fucking suffer here! You don't know how it feels, none of you will ever know how it feels!" I scream at him, causing him to take a step away from me.

"Can you even imagine, what august could have done to him by now? Hell, he could be dead, Asher." I cry out. "He could be dead. I can't sit here and just wonder without doing anything about it. I can't."

"I can't sit here and think about you being in that shithole, you fucking Asshole!" He sniffles, not able to speak properly. "Even if you were dead, I wouldn't fucking know it. And we'd all come after eachother, one by one, just to be killed."

"Right now, Asher, I would die to know if he was alive or not." I lower my voice a bit, too. "Im gonna make sure he's safe, and I will bring him back here."

"No you won't." He shakes his head, making me furrow my eyebrows and tilt my head to the side in confusion.

"What?" I scoff.

"I read your letter, aiden." His tears start to spill once again, his voice breaking. "I know you don't want to be here anymore, and I don't blame you."

"Asher—"

"Im coming with you." He suddenly says.

"No, you aren't!" I yell at him, grabbing his wrist to stop him from running into his own room.

"Aiden, I'm not letting you fucking leave like this! Alone and defenceless" he shakes his head. "Hell, this could be the last time we see eachother—"

"Don't say that." I suddenly start to cry. "Don't you fucking say that. I promise you, I promise I'll see you again. Not just once, a million times. The five of us, maybe even the seven of us, we'll be happy together somewhere when all this is over. This is temporary, of course you'll see me again."

I pull his face towards mine, wiping his eyes with my thumbs. He does the same to me, nodding his head to my words, though I don't think he looks like he believes them.

"I have to do this, Asher. And you'll stay here, for your own good." I place a kiss on top of his head, hugging him tightly like I never have before.

"Im only trying my best to be strong—" he pauses, sniffling. "For Zachary"

"For Zachary." I confirm. "We're going to be strong for his sake. We'll all be safe by the time all this is over."

He nods his tears away, his head buried in my shoulder as he continues to cry, almost suffocating me to my death.

"I was afraid I'd have to tie you up and lock you in here so you wouldn't tell anyone." I chuckle, he scoffs.

"You almost had to." He laughs back quietly. "Remember, for Zachary. Or id be sending an army after you, aiden."

I smile, rolling my eyes at him as I pat his back, suddenly rethinking all my life choices by doing this.

But I'd do anything for Zachary. I'd sacrifice the whole world.

And I realise, that I've been lying to Asher this whole time, because this is probably the last time we're going to see eachother.

Im going to die soon, and I've started to accept that.

There's no way I'm making it out that place alive with august holding Zachary hostage.

I'd sacrifice myself for him. And if that wasn't good enough, I'd sacrifice the whole universe, for his sake, his happiness, his safety, and his health. And his smile.

"I think it's time for me to leave." I tilt my head to the side, shivering as I try to contain my tears in, not wanting to cry infront of him again.

"I'll miss you so much."

"I won't be long." Lie. "I'll be back soon, I promise." Lie. "We'll all do something fun together once we're back." Lie.

"I love you so fucking much, ash." I bump my forehead with his. "You're my best friend, the closest friend I've ever had. You're like a brother to me, and I appreciate everything you've done for me."

"Ey, shut the fuck up." He laughs, which causes me to laugh, too. "Be safe for me, will you?"

"Will do." I say with a disappointing smile.

I hug him one last time, exit the room and shut the door behind me, but he decides to stay and I can hear him starting to sob 2 seconds later
