Chapter 13. Panic

Ao'nung thought he died. Alone, cold and without telling anywhere where he was going. He would never be found

But there it was, Ao'nung slowly opened his eyes, seeing multiple men above him, a few tending his wound

He didn't have any energy to care "who..?" Ao'nung asked. Before being shushed by someone "I am Su'at, Olo'eyktan of the Otasahie clan. We are apart of the deeper forest. These are my men" Su'at said, helping Ao'nung sit up

"You are from the Metkayina clan are you not? Water people" Su'at asked. Ao'nung just nodded "you must know the sully family then?" Su'at had walked back to his ikran, securing his stuff too it "y-yes sir I do, I was actually looking for one of them" Ao'nung said, taking the medicine that one of the other men handed him

"Our clan helped Toruk makto in the war. If you are a friend of his we are happy to help....?" Su'at looked back at him, questioning his name "Ao'nung" He said

"Ao'nung. Boys help him, he shall fly with me" Su'at said, boarding his Ikran. Leaving the front open for Ao'nung. His men walked Ao'nung to Su'at, helping him climb up to be in front, Su'at moving his around between Ao'nung's to hold onto his ikran where the smaller boy could not fall

"Please do not take me home. I want to go to the forest" Ao'nung pleaded

"If it's what you wish" Su'at said, clicking his tongue as an indicator that they all need to go, and so they did

Ao'nung had fallen asleep, they had been flying for a while, a sudden landing causing him to jerk awake

"We are here fish boy" Su'at said, getting off and helping Ao'nung off. He stared at the plants, it was so beautiful here. "We will teach you the ways of the forest, you will become one of us" Su'at said As Ao'nung nodded "now follow me, to your new home" He added, walking away as his men and Ao'nung followed, Ao'nung having to have a little help

Tsireya woke up, deciding maybe she should spend time with her brother. She knew he liked neteyam and she imagined this couldn't be easy.

As she got out of bed and went to get her hair tie that was next to her she saw a note. Picking it up where eyes went wide

Dear Tsireya. My starfish
I'm sorry but I must go, i am leaving. I will not tell you where as I do not want you or any other of our people following us. Lead our people with a strong heart for father. You will be a great leader
I love you my little starfish. I'm proud to be your older brother
Sincerely, Ao'nung

She couldn't believe her eyes, her brother had left her. She quickly ran to her parents room with the note, shaking them both awake "mama! Papa! Ao'nung's gone!"

Her parents stirred, Ronal looking at her "what? He's probably just on the beach" she said, rolling over to go back to sleep

Tsireya moved to her father "papa please!" He was already fast asleep, not seeming to care

She couldn't think of anything else. She ran to the sullies hut, knocking fast and loud, over and over

Jake opened the curtain, looking like he had been woken up, rubbing his eyes "Tsireya? Darling what are you doing here? It's early"

At this point she had tears rolling down her face. The ocean was a dangerous place that neither her or her brother needed to concur yet. He pulled her inside, getting on her level and hugging her

"Shhh it's alright baby doll, what's wrong?" Jake asked. Heavily confused and very tired but he couldn't care. This child was like his own and he needed to know what was wrong so he could fix it

Then neytiri came around the corner "who is it Ma Jake?" She asked, rubbing her eyes, seining Tsireya's hair as she sobbed into jakes shoulder. She moved to rub Tsireya's back "what is it doll? Why are you here this early? Why must you cry?" Neytiri asked, confused as well as she looked to Jake, who only shrugged

They must have woken up Kiri and lo'ak, who then came around "what's happening mom?" Kiri asked, before seeing Tsireya and running over "Tsireya??? Is everything okay?" Kiri asked, her parents both shrugged at her, Jake just rubbed her back, letting her cry as long as she needed

Soon Tsireya looked at them "Ao'nung's m-missing and I think he went way beyond the reef..." she said, they all looked at her "wait how do you know?" Lo'ak asked, rubbing her back

Tsireya handed neytiri the note, she read it off to them, all of the looking at Tsireya

"Why didn't you tell your parents starling? He could be hurt" Lo'ak said, holding her hand

"I did!! They wouldn't listen to me! Please you have to help me find him! You all have an Ariel view it's better!" She almost yelled, Jake rubbing her back "Shh doll, we'll find him okay? Come now let us get your parents" neytiri said, taking her hand from lo'ak

"No no! We don't have time! He could'be been injured by the Akula!" Tsireya said, tears rolling down her face again. She could not loose someone so dear to her. Not like this

"Akula? What's that?" Lo'ak asked. Kiri butting in "a blood thirsty sea creature. It likes the smell of blood and will eat absolutely anything that's smaller then it, us being one of its favorite snacks"

Tsireya just nodded "please we have to find him a Mrs sully. Please" she begged, Neytiri just nodded, ushering the kids to put their stuff on and Jake did so as well "stay here, we'll be back" neytiri said as she ran off to their room

After they had come back they rushed to their ikrans, Jake had left Tuk with an older woman who watched all the metkayina children

Lo'ak had Tsireya behind him, looking over everything, they searched for hours to no avail...

My right hand is numb 😢
Anyways I rlly like this chapter, trying to Capture Tsireya's panic was fun. Also jake seeing her and Ao'nung as children <<<<<<
