Chapter 17. Heartbreak

Third person pov

Ao'nung was very very much asleep. Having great dreams of neteyam until

Su'at walked over to him, flipping over his hammock so he fell, Ao'nung groaned, rubbing his face as he sat up "the hell man?" He asked, looking at Su'at

Su'at just laughed "come on, we ride to the outside of the forest, it's a few hours from here so let's go. We will be staying for a week or so" he said, walking off, Ao'nung getting up and grabbing his bags that he had luckily packed the night before

He headed to his ikran, throwing his stuff over her body and securing it. Ao'nung climbed ontop of her and sat, waiting for Su'at's words

Su'at just nodded to him as they both started their journey

Neteyam and Uh'taled where having lunch under a tree by the river, a picnic is what his father called it

Not long after they where done and had just been talking it started raining "well we should probably go back hm love?" Neteyam said, looking at her, starting to pack up their stuff

"No come on its raining! Let's dance!" She said, going out where the rain could touch her and spinning with her arms out

Neteyam smiled, sighing and following her, he put his hands on her waist

Uh'taled looked at him and smiled, putting her arms around his neck as they slow danced

"I'm so glad your my mate" neteyam said, obviously joking as Uh'taled laughed and pinched his ear to which he only let out a small "ow!" Which made them erupt with laughter

Uh'taled looked up, seeing two ikrans fly over them see looked at neteyam worried "Tey someone's here" she said, Neteyam looking to see then go towards the village

Neteyam immediately let go of her "grab the basket and go check on the children. I'll go see who they are" neteyam said, kissing her forehead and running off to the village

Ao'nung and Su'at landed, getting off their ikrans they where immediately surround by Omaticaya people. Ao'nung knew this because they looked like the sully's and he knew that they where the deepest shade of blue

Su'at looked to Al'uta "where's your leader?" He asked. Al'uta looking around to see if anyone knew where he was. Suddenly a Dark, tall and lean Na'vi dropped from the trees, scaring Su'at

"Oh Neteyam you cannot do that to an old man!" Su'at yelled, Neteyam just laughing "sorry"

Ao'nung peaked from behind Su'at. Shocked at how different he looked

He had on a tan shirt and dark cargo pants, and he had much more upper body muscle then when he left, looking a lot more fit as well

"Neteyam?" He asked, moving from behind Su'at "oh Ma Neteyam!" He said, running to him and hugging him

Neteyam's face blushed with embarrassment 'nonono everything was going so well you'll ruin it aon!'

Neteyam thought. Hugging the slightly taller Na'vi back

"You two know each other?" Su'at asked, the two breaking from their Reunion

"Yes he was the one I was looking for when you found me" Ao'nung said, neteyam ushering everyone to go back to what they where doing. Everyone doing as told

"Found you? What happened?" Neteyam asked turning his head to Ao'nung who was now beside him

Just now Ao'nung realized his hair was much longer then before, now going past his shoulder blades And being just pulled up

"Well the day after you left I came looking for you, I got attacked but it's okay cuz he found me!" Ao'nung said happily. Taking Neteyam's hands "he taught me the way of the forest"

Su'at butted in "he's a warrior now neteyam"

Neteyam only looked at their hands. Blushing slightly

"Ma neteyam?" A woman said, stepping around Su'at

Su'at smiled at her "oh my daughter!" He smiled, hugging her. She hugged back before going onto to Neteyam

Neteyam letting go of Ao'nung to wrap his arms around his mate

"I guess it's safe to assume you two have mated?" Su'at asked. Ao'nung staring in horror

Uh'taled just smiling "before Eywa" she said, looking at neteyam to see his eyes going to the ground

"So should I expect grandchildren soon?" Su'at asked, smiling

"Don't get ahead of yourself father" Uh'taled just laughed

Ao'nung couldn't believe it. The man he loved, he gave his heart to. He spend countless nights dreaming about that bastard just for him to mate with someone else?!

Ao'nung just ran, not carrying where he was going. Tears flooding his face

Neteyam running after him "Ao'nung!! Please wait!"

Leaving the father and daughter aline as she took him to where he'd stay

Neteyam found Ao'nung crying on a hill
"Ao'nung pl-" "NO! I don't wanna hear it!" Ao'nung yelled. Neteyam felt awful "please ao-" "no!" He said getting up to face neteyam, tear marks on his face "I've spent my every w-waking second thinking of you and when I'm asleep I dream of you! I worry about you and I've given you so much love b-but this is how you repay me? I-i thought you loved me" he said, sniffling

Neteyam felt his heart shatter. He never meant for Ao'nung to find out

"Ao'nung please hear me-" neteyam begged. It was not enough

"NO! I don't wanna! I know what you have to say! You don't deserve my forgiveness! Your a bad, bad person neteyam!" Ao'nung yelled. Storming off

Neteyam followed him. On the verge of tears at this point "please!" "Ao'nung!" He called, to no answer

Neteyam knew he fucked up bad

If it's not clear Uh'taled and Neteyam did NOT mate. They have told everyone they did and are acting As so because they both like other people but they where pushed to mate with one another
YES I promise Neteyam and Ao'nung will be back in a bit. It might take a few chapters but they'll come back
And I absolutely did not forget about their families don't worry. I'm just not focusing on them rn
