A Few days later...

you were on your way into Sumeru City to see Wanderer, and Cyno decided he wanted to come to meet the friend you talked about so much, you knew Wanderer could be snarky and straight forward but you hoped he'd get along with Cyno, In which Cyno had never seen him before even out and about within the city but you told him he worked close to Lesser Lord Kusanali 

"If he's within the Akademiya, I could've heard about him" he said

you shrugged, "he tends to stay away from people when necessary"

just as you arrived at the Grand Bazaar you headed inside with Cyno, looking around for Wanderer just as you saw him and rushed over away from Cyno to meet him 

"Hey!"

Wanderer turned, "you're here, and...who's that behind you?"

you smiled and gestured for him to wait as Cyno came to stand by your side, "Cyno this is Wanderer, Wanderer this is Cyno he's-"

"The General Mahamatra I'm already aware"

Cyno gave a nod, "I see, It's nice to meet you I've heard a lot about you from (Y/n)"

Cyno extended his hand out and Wanderer looked down at it, but then he gripped on as they shook hands in which before you gestured them to follow you as you walked

Wanderer crossed his arms, "I've heard many have come under your Jurisdiction"

"That's true, my job is to maintain order and carry out judgement on those who do wrong"

just then you felt your stomach rumble, and you blushed a little in embarrassment 

Cyno smiled, "someone's hungry"

you giggled, "Yeah sorry, I didn't skip breakfast but I guess I'm hungry already"

Wanderer looked at the expression on Cyno's face as he looked at you, and Wanderer could tell Cyno was In love with you which he soon brushed off as you all went to the food stands

you looked over the freshly made foods and or snacks In the Bazaar, just as you laid your eyes upon some cookies covered In powdered sugar, they were round ones you grew up eating that were like a shortbread with a date Inside of them your mom always made them best

you asked for some and took out the Mora needed while the women wrapped them up,

you then turned to Cyno, "Want one?"

"No I'm good you enjoy them for yourself" he said

you then looked to Wanderer, "you?"

Wanderer looked down at the cookies and knew he didn't like sweets, but then Nahida's words rang in his head before he reached for one and took a bite as he chewed, then his eyes lit up

"Not bad...and hey It's not making my teeth stick"

you smiled, "I haven't eaten these In so long,"

you picked up one for yourself before having a bite but then as Wanderer finished his, he held onto your wrist as he ate the other half of the cookie in your hand which made you blush

"hey! w...what was that about?"

Wanderer turned away, "Nothing"

your cheeks became a deeper pink, but then you smiled "you like them a lot huh?"

Cyno stood and raised a brow at what just happened, but he also felt his own hint of jealousy as he started to wonder just how close you two were but he realized he shouldn't be like that, you then went to get some Samosa's for the three of you before you went to sit down somewhere

Cyno started, "So...you don't have a name?"

"Yes,"

you turned to Cyno, "Not yet but I'm trying to find one for him"

Cyno smiled, "That's really kind of you"

Wanderer mumbled, "I really...don't need one but I'm holding her to her promise"

you giggled just as Cyno asked him another question, "where're you from"

Wanderer looked to Cyno, "Inazuma"

"Ah I see, so you've been living here for a while then how do you like It here"

Wanderer stuffed some more of his Samosa in his mouth, before he chewed and swallowed

"It's fine...the scenery's nice and I guess the people aren't so bad...I heard from Tighnari that you guys went to Aaru Village, how's Candace?"

you smiled, "She's good, busy but good"

just as you leaned over to Cyno and rested your head on his shoulder, It made his heart quicken and Wanderer furrowed his brows a little bit at the sight not knowing why he felt irritated

"Are you guys dating or something?" he asked

you giggled In surprise, "No! we're just close friends"

Cyno nodded In agreement but he felt his heart ache, he hated having to hide how he felt right now but he was worried he'd drive you away if he told you, Wanderer then went past that as he finished eating his Samosa before you continued walking around together while talking.

And when It became afternoon Cyno had to leave as one of his subordinate's came looking for him, there was activity with Canned Knowledge smuggling so he left quickly,

Wanderer sighed, "Is his being a Matra what makes him ask so many questions?"

"I guess It's their job to Interrogate after all"

Wanderer started walking away, "but I'm no suspect...that was Irritating"

you rushed to catch up with him, "I know I know, sorry he just can't help It sometimes but he means well, I think you guys could become friends"

Wanderer crossed his arms, "Maybe"

you looked up to the sky seeing the sun wasn't so high now, and so the heat settled a bit

"Now that the General's gone what do you want to do now" he asked

you started thinking, "Oh! have you ever been to Gandharva Ville?"

"No"

you smiled and gestured, "Okay come on, I'll show you around there"

Wanderer wanted to protest but he decided to just go along with It, after all he did ask so you left the Grand Bazaar as you headed with Wanderer back to Gandharva Ville, excitedly showing him around and Introducing him to the other forest watchers and rangers, Including Tighnari

"So this is the Wanderer, Nice to meet you"

Wanderer gave a nod, "You too"

he and Tighnari shook hands before he gave him a rundown of how things run around there, before you showed him to where you lived but to your shock, your wind chime fell and broke

you bent down as your braid swept with you, taking the broken pieces into your hands

Wanderer kneeled, "That's...pretty damaged, was It Important"

you shook your head, "I mean, I brought It with me from Aaru village to remind me of home but It's fine"

Wanderer looked at the broken chime, just as an Idea popped up in his head and he went to the entrance, "I'm leaving for now, but I will come back tomorrow okay"

you nodded, "o...okay, see you"

Wanderer then looked around before he took flight, and you looked on in immense awe as you'd never seen him do that before but in Teyvant you knew anything was possible.
