The Chime Chap.14

The Next Day.....

You'd just finished having breakfast with Tighnari and Collei, now you sat waiting for Wanderer to come back like he said he would though you wondered why he left so abruptly, but you didn't really question his way of what he did so you trusted he'd come back as promised, but In the meantime Collei asked you to help her with one of her tasks, which was herb sorting 

"Hey (Y/n), do you ever miss living In the Desert?"

you were surprised, "What brought this on"

Collei smiled, "Nothing it's just you seem to really love your old home"

you looked down, "I do, and sometimes I do miss It there but...I had to leave to have a better Opportunity, which was why I came here to be a Forest Ranger"

you then smiled, "I do miss it somedays but, I've grown to be so at home here now and besides that I've made so many wonderful friends"

"Including me?"

you gave her head a light pat, "Including you, but I'd rather say I gained a little sister"

a smile bloomed on Collei's face, "Really?!"

you smiled and gave Collei another pat on the head, but then she full on hugged you which brought great surprise until she then broke the hug quickly "Okay! let's get back to sorting"

you smiled with a nod as you then continued helping Collei to sort the herbs, but then you heard the pitter of a dog's claws upon wood, turning to see Sag come inside of Collei's room

"What's up Sag?"

he came up to you and you gave him a scratch but then he started towards the door, before giving a subtle small bark In which you guessed he wanted you to follow him, you stood up and told Collei you'd be back as you followed Sag down the stairs until he led you elsewhere 

and that somewhere was outside of your own dwelling, and you saw Wanderer on the steps

you smiled, "It's you!"

Wanderer turned, and a little smile came to his face "Hey, I didn't know where you'd gone but this dog fetched you for me I guess"

you bent down to give Tag another pat on the head, he then headed off as you went to Wanderer

he stood up, "I came back as promised and I brought this..."

he took out a bag made of cloth and opened It up, pulling out a beautiful glass bell with a paper tag hanging from the bottom of It, you stepped closer to look at It as you saw there were pink flowers painted on the glass but the writing on the tag you didn't understand

"It's beautiful but...what is It?" you asked

a blush came to his cheeks, "It's an Inazuma Wind chime...I made It"

you were shocked, "you...made this?"

"Yeah...let's just say someone taught me how to make things by forging a longtime ago"

Wanderer cleared his throat, "your other one broke right so I made this one to replace It...you don't need to thank me"

you felt a warm feeling well up In your heart, but then you felt your eyes start to get cloudy and you saw Wanderer's face change to one of concern with confusion

"What's wrong do you not like It? why're you crying"

you realized and touched your cheek as you felt the wet line, but then other tear fell as a smile started coming to your face as you lunged forward to wrap your arms around him, which made him very caught off guard as he felt your warmth against him but then....

Wanderer's cheeks became a deeper pink, "h...hey...I don't..."

the rest of his words were forgotten as he felt a strange thumping inside of his chest, his Indigo eyes widened as he then realized it was the feeling of a heart but he didn't have one, so he was very confused to why he was feeling this at all but It became clear It was because of you

"Thank you...so much for the Chime, It's beautiful" you said

Wanderer then slowly brought his arms around you In return, In which surprised you as you thought he might've pushed you away but It filled you with great happiness that he didn't

Wanderer then mustered, "Your Welcome..."

you then once again started feeling as if you'd be choked up, so you buried your face into his shoulder as he felt you were shaking so he just rubbed your back as best he knew how, until you parted from each other after a while and you quickly wiped your cheeks

but then Wanderer carefully held onto the chime, "Here, let's find a place for It"

you smiled with a nod as you followed him up the stairs into your room, he then looked around for a good spot before he got a string and tied the chime up right near the doorway

"It looks cute there, but what does that tag say?" you asked

"Well...the meaning of this Chime is to ward off evil supposedly...It's stupid"

you nodded, "Oh I see"

Wanderer then looked frustrated as his cheeks turned pink, "But...what I wrote, It means I hope you get everything you wish for In life"

you were taken aback, but then you brought a hand to your heart as you felt It flutter

"That's so sweet, thank you"

just then a breeze came through and the Chime let off a little sound, It was very pleasant to you 

Wanderer turned around, "I brought It to you, so now I'm leaving see you again soon"

he started out of your room as he headed down the steps, all the while a subtle smile clouded over the annoyed expression on his face as he guessed you really liked his gift.
