I think I passed out at the tree lot because when I opened my eyes I was lying in the back seat of Conn's truck. I blinked and, feeling slightly disoriented, sat up.

"What's going on?" I asked, in a groggy voice. I rubbed at my eyes and yawned.

Why am I so damn tired all the time?

"You fainted". Conn answered. He glanced over his shoulder at me. Since Willow was the one driving, Conn was sitting shotgun.

"Where is everyone?" I questioned.

And why did they ditch me with Conn?

"When we left they were talking to the staff members at the Christmas tree lot". Willow explained.

Why? Weren't they supposed to be following Conn? He had all their tree's...didn't he?

"Why'd you leave them?" I asked, glancing between Conn and Willow.

Niether of the two answered me.

"What's going on?" I blurted.

Conn let out a sigh before saying,
"Derrin told me about...what's been going on".

Seriously! Fuck that guy.

"This is serious stuff Elin". He spoke up in a firm tone. He turned in his seat. "Why didn't you tell me?"

Why would I have?

I caught Willow's gaze in the rearview mirror, and cringed. His eyes were filled with sympathy. I hated that look.

"I don't think that my problems are any of your business". I stated, rather harshly.

The only reason everyone else knew about it was because Blondie freaked out.

"That's bullshit". Conn exclaimed.

This entire thing is bullshit!

"Where are we going?" I snapped, in an effort to change the subject.

Conn was quiet for a moment before simply saying, "The hospital".

I was taken back by his answer, and for a moment, forgot how to speak. I couldn't go to a hospital. Conn, of all poeple, knew this.

Conn took my silence as an opportunity to speak again. "Your out of your mind Kid! I don't know what the other's were thinking. I sure as hell dont know what your thinking". He paused then said, "You need proper help".

All I did was pass out!

"I'm not going to the hospital". I finally said. "I made that perfectly clear the first time-"

"This is nothing like last time". He cut in sharply, "This isn't a fucking concussion Elin! You need Medical attention".

"Why?"

I could get better on my own. Just like all the times before this.

"Why?!" He exaggerated, throwing his hands up. "Because I'm sick of worrying about you".

Willow reached over, and gently ran a hand over Conn's arm. "Conn. It's okey". He quetly coaxed. Then he spared a glance back at me before returning his gaze to the road. "We're just trying to help Elin".

I wonder how it must feel to be the one trying to keep the peace?

Exhausting I bet.

Conn took in a deep breath before he continued. "You up and disappear. Fuck knows where. Then you come back half starved to death."

I clenched my jaw, and turned my gaze towards the window. The darkness had finally crept in. Making the city appear more morbid.

"Did something happen? Did someone do-"
