"Your really stupid". I mumbled. I glanced at Blondie who seemed to be in his own little world. "You should've just left like I told you".

"I didn't want to leave".

I exhaled. My breath rose up in a cloud of white then dispersed into nothing.

It was freakin cold out!

"Do you think we'll get snow?" Blondie asked out of the blue. His head was tipped back and he was staring at the sky.

"Dunno".

A moment of silence fell between us. The only sounds were the constantent honking of cars, and distant sirens wailing.

"Elin?"

I hummed in response.

"Are you mad at me?"

Try pissed off.

I crossed my arms over my chest and slowed my pace. My adrenaline from the apartment incident was wearing off. I felt sluggish. "I- I'm- kinda".

He looked over at me from the corner of his eye. "Sorry about the kiss. I should've given you a heads up".

A heads up wouldve been nice.

But...that's not really why I was mad at him.

The kiss was a shock. The fight with Jae was what really had me worried.

"Elin?"

"Hmmm?"

"It's okey if you dont like me". He said this in such a soft tone that I had to look over at him just to make sure it was the same Blondie I knew.

It was.

I averted my eyes to the pathway we were walking on.

Honestly I had no idea how I felt about Blondie. He was like a complelty different person now from when I first met him.

And...there was this odd feeling in my chest whenever he came around, or when he stuck up for me, or when he got me out of situations I didn't want to be in.

Blondie was okey.

"Alright". Blondie clapped his hands together. The sound startling me. "I have to tell you something".

Great.

"Everyone's at my house right now". He blurted. "Their waiting for us."

I stopped walking. "What?"

He gave me a sheepish smile. "It was supposed to be a suprise, but...." he trailed off then said, "I feel like you've had enough shock for tonight".

At least he gave me a heads up.

---------

The house smelled like a bakery when we stepped inside. It was warm and the lights from the kitchen casted a soft glow over the entrance hall.

A cluster of chatter was coming from the living room, but it stopped when Blondie shut the door.

"How did it go-" A women with lavender hair came around the corner. She stopped midsentence and stared at Blondie.

"Mum this is Elin". Blondie mumbled. He motioned to where I was standing.

Her eyes flickered in my direction before returning to his face. "You've got blood running down your nose John".

He smiled at her. "Yeah. I know".

She nodded towards the kitchen. "Kitchen. Now".

"It can wait-"

"Now John".

He blew out a puff of air then looked over at me. "I'll be back in a minute".

I nodded, and he walked away with his mother.

"Look who finally showed up". A voice boomed. This voice belonged to Conn. He was leaning against the archway to the living room, arms crossed, and a stupid smile plastered on his face.

Great. Just who I wanted to see.

"Hay Conn".

"It's been a while".

I swear he says that everytime we see each other.

"What like two days?"

He chuckled and shook his head. "Your such a downer kid".

"Not a kid".

"Why don't you come in?" He tipped his head. "Or...you can stay in the hallway for the rest of the night".

I was a little confused as to why Conn was even here. Didn't he have family dinner or something?

And didn't Blondie hate the guy?

"Come on". He waved me into the living room.

I hesitated for a moment then followed him in.

"Elin!"

I lost my ability to breath when Vicky ran into me. She wrapped her arms around my waist and grinned up at me. "You came".

"Y-yeah".

"Look at the Christmas tree". She turned and pointed at the light strung tree standing up in the corner.

I stood there for a moment taking it in.

Who could have imagined it'd look so amazing.

Not me for one.

I've seen christmas trees all lit up and decorated in the parks, but for some reason this tree was different.

It made me feel...warm.

"Hay there sweety".

I snapped my head in the direction of the voice and relaxed. It was Yara.

"Hi".

She took a hesitant step closer then engulfed me in a hug. I froze in her arms.

"Merry Christmas". She whispered.

"M-merry Christmas".

She pulled away and smiled at me. "How are you?"

"I'm okey". I lied.

A forced a smile onto my lips as reassurance.

I didn't need another person worrying about me. Although, I think I failed.

"Let's play a game". Conn suddenly proposed catching everyone's attention.
