"What the fuck!"

Before I could even process what was happening I felt a hand shove my shoulder. The force was enough to send me stumbling back a foot or so.

"What the hell is going on?" A voice seethed. This voice belonged to Jae.

He was standing in the spot I had been seconds ago. His back to Blondie. Murderous eyes on me.

I don't think I've ever seen Jae as pissed as he looked right then. You could literally see the smoke bellowing out of his ears.

I ran my hand over my mouth and averted my eyes back toward Blondie who was glaring at Jae's head. Between the two of them the tension was suffocating.

And my thoughts were jumping all over the place.

Blondie kissed me!

In the hallway.

And-fuck! Jae saw it.

I'm a corpse walking.

"Jae I-"

"What's your problem?" Blondie suddenly spoke up. His voice was on the verge of savage.

I shot him a warning look but he disregarded it.

Jae, very slowly, turned to address him. "Excuse me?"

Blondie went toe to toe with Jae. Eyes narrowed, chin up. "What. Is. Your. Problem?"

"You are".

I was thinking that maybe I should stop this before it got out of hand, but I couldn't find it in me to move.

Let alone speak.

"Why?" Blondie's eyes flickered to where I was standing then back to Jae's face. "Elin can do whatever the fuck he wants".

"Is that so?"

"Yeah it is". He snapped. "You don't own him".

Jae was a few inches taller then Blondie so he had to lean over just to get in his face. "Says who?"

Blondie took a hesititent step back, glanced at me, then punched Jae in the face.

The sound of Jae's head snapping to the side was the worst, yet best thing I had ever witnessed. He didn't stagger or reach up to check the damage. He sort of just stood there. Head down. His usual tidy hair falling over half his face; concealing his features.

"Pathetic". Jae finally spoke in a steady tone. It was almost worse then the screaming. The calmer he sounded the angrier he was.

I knew that first hand.

"I don't have time for this". Jae said irritably.

He turned on his heel and walked over to where I was standing. "Let's get back inside Elin".

I don't want to go back.

I opened my mouth to say so, but the look in Jae's eyes warned me not to speak. So I didn't.

Jae reached out for my shoulder but before his fingers could make contact an insane Blondie jumped him from behind.

Literally!

He head barreled into Jae's backside which caused both of them to lurch past me then stumble and collapse in a tangle of arms and legs.

"Don't touch him!" Blondie shouted as he struggled to turn Jae over onto his back. When he finally succeeded he grabbed a fistful of Jae's shirt. "He doesn't want to stay for your stupid party".

I wasn't sure if I should be glad, or horrified with the way things were going.

Blondie was basically assaulting the one man who could turn my, and his life, into hell.
