The Double Date

~Josh's POV~

It was the next day, and Colleen forgot about what I told her yesterday. I was glad because it was just too awkward and quiet.

I had just woken up, and of course, Colleen was still sleeping. I got out of bed with as little movement as possible to prevent her from waking up. I made breakfast for us and ate it at the couch. About an hour later, Colleen woke up.

"Good morning sweetheart."

"Morning Snoopy. I see you made breakfast again." She smiled at me. I nodded at her. Colleen had messy hair and no makeup, but she was still beautiful as always.

"Well you look gorgeous." I was joking around, but I was also serious.

"No I'm not. I'm a gross mess right now!" She brought her bowl of oatmeal over and sat down next to me. She leaned over onto me and kept on trying to grab my nose. I hate it when people do that to me! But at least I knew that Colleen sort of forgot about yesterday.

-5 Hours Later (it's now the afternoon)-

~Colleen's POV~

Rachel and Matt came. We all hung out for a little while, then Rachel and I got to work while the boys chatted. We were sitting at the dinner table, when Rachel mentioned something that I would not expect her to ask.

"How long have you and Josh been together now?"

"I'd say...a year and a half? Yeah, a year and a half."

"Oh, that's cool. I've been with Matt for two years."

"It's so amazing when you find your true love. Like, you just know if they are your soul mate or not." I didn't realize that I started to space out until Rachel poked me.

"You started staring into space there."

"Yeah, sorry...um, so what other props do we need for the new show?" When I was staring into space, I was thinking about my first date with Joshua. It was the most best and amazing day of my life. I can't even explain how I felt when I first saw him in person. It's sort of like a roller coaster; you slowly get to know the person, like when the roller coast is moving up, and then when you realize that this person is the one, you get a rush of excitement like when the roller coaster goes down really fast.

~Josh's POV~

I was just having a sort of private conversation with Matt. We were thinking of planning a double date at some sort of fancy restaurant. We ended up picking The Cheesecake factory because:

1. Duh, and

2. There wasn't any other delicious restaurant that's fancy and that we know of.

Our plan was to surprise the girls with this double date. Matt and I would tell them to wait outside of the restaurant. When they arrive, Matt and I will come out of the building and then simply surprise them. It would be a great treat for them since the girls have been doing a lot of work for the next couple of Miranda Sings shows.

-The Next Day-
It was noon and I got ready for the double date with Colleen, Matt, and Rachel. I dressed a little bit fancy, but not too much. Colleen walked into the room while I was buttoning up my shirt.
"Babe, you're dressed fancily. How come?"

"Just felt like it, that's all." She stood on her toes and kissed my cheek with her sweet lips.

~Colleen's POV~
I wonder why Josh was dressed really nicely today. He doesn't usually do this on Saturdays! And I'm pretty sure he didn't just "felt like it". But hey, he looks nicer than usual.
"Colleen, I have a surprise for you today."

"Oh really? What is it?" So maybe that's why he dressed up.

"I just told you, it's a surprise!" We both started laughing out loud.

"Well since you're really dressed up, Josh, should I do it too?" He nodded. I guess we're both going to be fancy today. I went into the walk-in closet and rummaged around for something nice to wear.

- 10 Minutes Later -
~Josh's POV~
I was waiting in the living room for Colleen to finish changing. I looked at my watch; it was 1:35 PM already. But luckily we planned the dinner at 2:30 PM.
Colleen walked out of the little hallway, wearing a vanilla colored dress that reached her knees. There were a bunch of sequins on the shirt and the dress didn't have sleeves (but wide straps like a tank top). Damn. How did I find such a beautiful girl just by simply watching her on YouTube?

Before we left, Colleen checked her makeup, found a little sweater that looked good with the dress, and got her little clutch. She looked amazing. I kissed her before we walked out the door.

~Colleen's POV~
Josh drove into the parking lot of The Cheesecake Factory. Wait, how is this a surprise? I've been here before!

"Hey babe, close your eyes!"

"Wait, what-" Josh put his hands over my eyes before I could do anything. Oh well. He helped me walk over, then when he uncovered my eyes, I saw Rachel and Matt in front of us.

"Matt! What is this?" Said Rachel, a little surprised.

"We're having a double date!" Said Matt, very quietly. I looked at Josh and he nodded. So I guess this is how we would spend our weekend.

We were there for practically two hours. It was a wonderful break from work and it's fun to spend time with Josh, Rachel, and of course Matt.
