Going to California

- 2 Months Later -
~Josh's POV~
I finally had worked hard enough to afford a plane ticket to fly down to California and see Colleen again. I clicked the buy button on the website, and printed out the ticket. This is it; I get to meet the love of my life again! Should I tell her? Nah, I'll surprise her instead. But I'll tell her parents first.

I took out my phone and called Colleen's mother. She picked up after a couple of seconds.

"Hello? This is Joshua, right?"

"Yes ma'am. I called to say that I will be flying down to Santa Barbara to see your daughter again. However, I want to keep it as a surprise. But is it alright if I come?"

"Of course! You are welcome here anytime!"

"Thank you Mrs. B."

"You're welcome. Bye."

"Bye."

I was super excited! I started packing, even though I would be leaving in two days.

Later, I went to the mall and bought a little necklace with a heart charm on it. I packed it into my suitcase.

~Colleen's POV~
I sighed, staring at the ceiling of my room. It was another warm sunny day-wait no, it was hot-and I didn't know what to do. I've been trying to video call Josh but he hasn't answered all day! He's probably away from his computer then.

I decided to attempt one last call, but to his phone this time.

He didn't answer. I was a little upset. I wanted to just see him in person right now!

~Josh's POV~
I suddenly realized that I had made a mistake. I bought a ticket to fly to California, but I didn't realize that I didn't buy a ticket back to New York. Uh oh. I didn't have enough money to buy the ticket back! But wait, maybe I could move in with Colleen or get a little house with her? I don't know what to do! I made a decision that I would tell Colleen once I saw her again.
