~Colleen's POV~
It was finally Christmas Eve, and Josh and I were at my parents house having a family party. I was in the kitchen with the ladies baking pastries and sweets while the men were entertaining the kids while just...I honestly don't know what they were doing!
"Honey, can you get me the flour?" Asked my mom.
"Sure." I replied. I reached into a cabinet and pulled out a bag of flour, then passed to my mom. At the moment, we were making my "famous" chocolate chip cookies. Everyone loves them!
~Josh's POV~
I was in the backyard, chasing little Parker around. He should meet my nephew Landon! They're both cute little bundles of energy. I was outside with the adorable kids for at least an hour. I can't wait to have kids with Colleen someday.
- Hours Later, 6:30 PM -
The whole family finished dinner about an hour ago, and people slowly left. It was now only Colleen's parents, Colleen, Rachel, and I, still at the house. We sat down in the living room and got out the presents to open. I gave Colleen her presents first.
The day before, I got a sort of last minute present; they were little diamond earrings that I knew Colleen would love.
~Colleen's POV~
I sat next to Josh on the couch, nice and snug in my onesie. He handed me a little wrapped up box. I peeled off the wrapping paper to reveal a little box that had some sort of piece of jewelry inside.
"Is it another engagement ring?" Asked Rachel. We all burst out laughing.
I glanced at Josh first and he motioned for me to open up the box. I slipped off the little lid, and inside were two diamond earrings. They were absolutely beautiful. The dangly earrings were shaped like hearts. I leaned over and gave Josh a kiss on the lips.
"Thank you babe, I love them!" I said while smiling from ear to ear.
He handed me another box afterwards. I opened it up to discover little petite chocolates, each having its own design. But in one of slots where a chocolate should be in, I found a little charm for my bracelet.
"Oh baby, you don't have to do this every year!" I said, giving Josh another kiss.
"Well maybe we could turn this into a tradition!" He replied.
"That sounds like a great idea." I exclaimed, smiling.
I took the earrings out of the box next to try them on, and they fit nicely. Afterwards, I took out a little envelope with the Justin Timberlake concert tickets inside and handed it to Josh. It took a moment for him to process what was printed on the paper.
~Josh's POV~
I was confused at first as to why Colleen gave me an envelope. Could it be plane tickets like the ones that I gave to her? I ripped open the envelope, then read what was on the paper. "Thank you for ordering two tickets to the Justin Timberlake concert on Sunday, December 27th." I covered my mouth in shock; I couldn't believe that Colleen got me a ticket to see Justin Timberlake! I gave her a tight hug, whispering "thank you" into her ear way too many times.
"Josh? What's in the envelope?" Asked Colleen's mother.
"I'm going to go see Justin Timberlake!" I said, grinning widely.
Everyone was in such a wonderful mood; this always makes me so happy! We finished up any last presents, then we relaxed for a bit by the fireplace. I know for sure that it's going to be a great day.
AUTHOR'S NOTE
Really guys? Did you guys seriously get this book at 8K+ reads?! It blows my mind that you guys are still sticking around and reading my bad fanfiction! But of course, I'm glad that you guys still enjoy this story. I'll try to get back into updating weekly again. However, I am not promising anything since school is back and I have more homework to do. But maybe I'll publish one chapter per week? Well, let's wait and see what happens!
