Jasmines POV
"So he just ran out?" Kamila asks. I nod. "Weird" she says. "I feel like I offended him. He seemed disturbed when I brought up his mom" I say. "Well, i definitely think you should ask but maybe do it a little slow. Dont just rush in" she says. "For a single girl whos best friends with Astro you give good advice" I say. "Thank you?" She says. We laughed. "Ill see you later" Kamila says running off. We're at school. I walked up to Duke. "Hey" I say. "Oh, hey" he says. "Hi... can I sit with you?" I ask. He nods. I sat next to him. "So, about our date-" I say. "Im sorry I ran out" he says. "Its ok, I was just kinda confused. I didn't mean to offend you" I say. "You didnt! Its just... a delicate matter" he says. "Do you wanna talk about it?" I ask. He stared at me for a moment. "I promise Ill tell you, just not yet" he says. "Im here whenever you're ready." I say. He smiled at me. "Thanks" he says. "Hey Duke!" Tyler yelled. He looked over at him. "I gotta go. Ill text you later" he says. He kissed my cheek and ran off really quickly. I sat there stunned. I dont think he realized what he did. I dont even know if I realize what just happened. I liked it though.

Skylars POV
I went to Zoes after school. I havent seen her in a while. She hasnt been answering my texts or calls. Im worried about her. I knocked on the door. She opened it and the split second she saw me, fear flashed across her face. "Skylar" she says. "Hey, Im sorry for dropping in like this but I was getting worried. Are you ok?" I ask. "Yeah Im fine" she says. "Why do you look like that?" I ask. "Because I haven't been answering you and Im scared of what youll do" she says. "Well why haven't you been answering?" I ask. She pulled me inside. "Theres been a lot going on recently and I just haven't wanted to talk to anyone" she says. "You can talk to me about anything Zoe. Im here for you" I say. She looked me dead in the eyes. "Baby" she says. Her whole body broke down after she said that one word. I walked to her and hugged her. "Its ok. You can tell me" I say. She held onto me tightly. Our faces are almost touching. "My mom is in custody for assaulting my dad" she says. "What?" I said shocked. "My dad stood up to her and she hit him. Now they're getting divorced and my dad is looking for a job and its just a lot" She says. "Im so sorry baby. Are you ok? You're not hurt are you?" I ask. She shook her head. "No. My mom called me a faggot though. She told me to stay with my dad and never come back" she says. "Thats terrible. My family took it much better. Have you been here by yourself all week?" I ask. "Papa has been coming home really late from the court room" she says. "Papa?" I ask. "Its what I call him sometimes" She says. I pulled her into me and held her tightly. "You're always welcome at my place baby" I say. "I love you" she mumbled into my shoulder. She picked her head up to look at me. "I love you too" I smiled. We kissed. This is probably the longest we've ever kissed but its so nice. The door opened. "Ok, assult thing is handled. Oh shit... am I interrupting?" Ryan came in. We pulled apart. Zoe looked over and laughed a bit. "No Papa" she says. "Hi Ryan" I say. "Skylar" he greets me. There was a short silence. "Well Skylar, since you're here, do you want to join us for dinner?" He asks. I looked at Zoe. She smiled at me. "Sure" I say. Zoe kissed my nose and rested her forehead on mine as her dad walked away. "I cant wait to be with you in public" I say. "Me too" she says.

Wyatts POV
"Spotter can i talk to you?" I ask. "Sure, whats up?" He asks. "Luna is mad at me" i say. "What did you do?" He laughs. "She told me some personal stuff and then we had this strange moment where we were really close and we were staring into each others eyes, but then her dad barged in and I got spooked and ran out. Now shes mad at though" I say. He stared at me like I told him I murdered a puppy. "Well no shit! You were having a romantic moment and you left! She needed you dude!" He says. "It wasnt romantic" I say. "Oh really? You're one hundred percent sure on that?" He asks. I thought back to that night. My eyes widened. "She tried to kiss me... shit!" I say running out. "You're welcome!" He yells.

I drove to Lunas work, parked, and ran inside. "Luna!" I yelled. "Wyatt?" I hear. Its her dad. "Cole! Wheres Luna?" I ask. "At home. She has some homework to do" he says. "Shit!" I say running out. I got back in the car and drove to her house.

I banged on her door. "Luna open up!" I yell. She opened the door looking at me like Im crazy. "You sound insane. Stop yelling" she says. She sat back down at the kitchen counter and looked down at her homework. I closed the door. "Luna Im sorry" I say. She laughed. "Oh is that why you're here" she says looking up at me. "Luna, I didnt know what you were doing that night. I didnt get the signals and Im sorry" I say. "What signals?" She asks like nothing happened. "You tried to kiss me before your dad came in" I say. Her eyes widened and she looked back down. "I dont know what you're talking about" she says. I slowly walked up beside her. "Luna, I miss you. You're my best friend. And if Im being honest, Ive always wanted you to be more than that. I know I missed my chance but please, I at least need my best friend back" I say. She slowly looked up at me. She sighed and stood up. "I dont know Wyatt. Being this close to you is weird now" she says. "Luna, I need you" I say. She huffed and looked to the side. "I cant believe you got scared of my dad" she says. I dont know whether to laugh or not. "He thinks of you like his son, he's been begging me to date you for years, you really think he'd be mad at you?" She says looking back at me. "I got scared. Im sorry" I say. She rolled her eyes. "Im getting really tired of hearing you say you're sorry" she says. I looked down. "I forgive you" she says. My head shot up. "Im still mad at you though" she says. "I can live with that" I say. She punched me in the stomach. "Ouf!" I clenched my stomach. She smirked and kissed me. "God you send the most confusing and painful signals ever" i say. She giggled. "I feel better now" she says. "Come here" I say. I pulled her waist into me and kissed her again. She wrapped her arms around my neck. We stood there making out for a minute or two before she pulled her head back. "God you're so corny. I seriously cant believe you're scared of my dad" she says. "If I was scared of your dad, I wouldn't have let him know I was looking for you" I say. "He knows you're here?" She asks. I nod. She smiles. "He wont be home for a while then. He probably thinks we're fucking" she says letting go of me. I laughed. "Well, Im glad he's not gonna be home because I really need to talk to you" I say. "Whats up?" She asks. We sat down. "When you told me about your mom, it gave me the courage to ask about mine" I say. She raised her eye brows shocked. "Turns out, my parents were never even together. Patch doesn't even know a thing about her. He said he met her at a bar and they hooked up and she got pregnant with me. I got really mad at him and when I woke up the next morning, he was gone. Marshall said he went to Raiders Valley to find my mom. I dont know how to feel or what to do about this" I say. "Wow ok... um" Luna says. There was a short silence. "He hasnt called or anything?" She asks. "No and he wont answer me. He's been leaving me on delivered and sending me to voice-mail" I say. "Ok. You have the right to be upset because him not talking to you is not ok but I also think you show some sympathy to him when he comes back. He's clearly gone to Raiders Valley for you. He's finding your mother so that you can meet her. He may not have done it the exact right way but he's doing whats best for you" she says. "But he doesn't need too. I dont need to meet my mom. I just want my dad back" I say. She put her hand on my shoulder. "He will be back Wyatt. And Ill be here for you when he does" she says. I rested my head on her shoulder. She smells good. She put her hand on the back of my head and scratched it slightly. It feels good. "Thank you Luna" I say. "Of course" she says. There was a moment of silence. "So... are you my girlfriend or?" I ask. She laughed. "Sure but dont expect me not to gaslight you every chance I get. You're still my best friend" she says. "Good. I like it when you do that" I say. "Good to know" she says.
