Main Moms

Jess's POV
Bella came into the living room. "Hey, what are you doing here?" I ask confused. She doesn't like coming here so I dont get why she came. "I need to ask you something" she says sitting down next to me. "Whats up?" I ask. "So, every year we have a parent celebration. One for moms and one for dads. Basically, its a big party where all the moms get to chat and drink wine and stuff. All the kids go to a different room and get their own party. The mom celebration is coming up and I was wondering if you would go. I really wanna go to the party but I cant go unless you go" she says. "Honey, you had me at wine. What do I have to do?" I ask. She laughed. She handed me a flyer. "Just scan the QR code" she says. "Will do." I say. "Thanks mom." She says hugging me. "Of course" I say.

"Hey babe? Did you know about this?" I ask showing Bruce the flyer. He looked it over. "Yeah I heard about it" he says. We've been dating for a few weeks. "Im going apparently" I say. "Bella force you?" He asks. "Shes definitely a persuasive kid" I say. He chuckled. Duke and Jack and came inside. Duke stormed into his room. "Did you move in or something?" Jack asks. "What? No." I say shocked. Bruce put his hand on my shoulder and stood beside me. "Whats up with Duke?" He asks. "He thinks he hurt Jasmines feelings since he said no to going to some weird party with her" Jack says. "Why'd he say no?" I ask. "Because he and I arent eligible to go" he says. Bruce and I looked at each other confused and then looked at him. Jack pointed to the flyer Bruce was holding. "Oh" we said. "Ill calm him down" Jack says going to their room. "That sucks" Bruce says. I stared at the ground. "Are you ok?" He asks. I hesitated. "Do you think I could register them?" I ask. "What?" He asked confused. "Do you think Id be allowed to? Since Im dating you, couldn't I pose as... as thier mother" I say. "Honey, you dont have to rush to be their mom. They're gonna accept you, I know they will." He says. "But... I feel like Im not... worthy... I guess. Like, Im never gonna be able to replace her" I say. "You dont need to replace her. Just be yourself. If you want to sign them up then go ahead, but you really dont need too" he says.

Dukes POV
"You didnt hurt her feelings dude. She understands" Jack says. "Yeah but I know she's still disappointed" I say. "Dude its fine. Dont worry about it" he says. I groaned. Our door opened. "Boys, guess what?" Dad says. "What?" Jack asks. "You better go get some tuxes because you're going to the party" he says. "What?! How?" We both said. "Because, I have a girlfriend. So technically, she qualifies as your mom" he says. Jess stood in the doorway with dad. "You're welcome" she says. "Thanks Jess" I say. "Of course" she says. Jack didn't say anything. Jess got a call. "Are you seriously calling me from prison?" She asks walking away. Jack and I looked at each other and laughed. Dad rolled his eyes. "Is she really gonna be our new mom?" Jack asks. "Thats entirely up to you. If Im lucky enough to spend the rest of my life with her, it doesn't make her your mom unless you think of her that way" he says. "I wouldn't mind having her as our mom" I say. "But..." Jack looked down. "Jack, I cant force you to do anything, but you know that I cant do all the same things your mom could. Jess can. All I ask is that you give her a chance. She cares about you." Dad says. "Ok dad" Jack says.

I stopped outside Jasmines apartment. I stood outside my car waiting for her. As she walked up to me I thought I was gonna melt. Shes so hot. "What do you think?" She asks gesturing to her dress. "You're breathtaking" I say. She smiled and kissed me. "You look pretty hot yourself" she says. "Come on" I say. We got in the car. "How were you able to go?" She asks. "Jess signed off for me and Jack" I say. "Oh cool" she says. "Im really glad she did because then Id be third wheeling Aiden and Tyler all night" I rolling my eyes. She laughed. "Tylers not going?" Jasmine asks. I shook my head. "He stayed back with Aiden" I say. "I could have stayed back with you, ya know" she says. "I wouldn't let you do that. I dont want you to miss a party" I say. "It would be worth it to be with you" she says. I smiled and took her hand in mine.

Jess's POV
The women here are going crazy. I bet this is probably the only time they get away from their partners. Im just people watching from the wall. A woman tapped my shoulder. "Hi" I say. "Hi, Im Jane. Im Spades mom" she says. "Oh! Hi, Im Jess" I say. "Its really nice of you to come back for Bella. I also heard what you did for Jack and Duke. That was really cool" she says. "Yeah. Bella needed me so I came. Id like to think of Jack and Duke like my sons so I figured Id help them out" I say. She smiled at me. "You wanna meet 'the main moms" she says using finger quotes. "Sure" I said with a laugh.

"Girls!" Jane walked up to a small group of women. "This is Jess, Bellas mom" she says. I waved. "Hi Jess. Nice to meet you. Im Misty, Spotters mom" she says. "Nice to meet you too" I say. "This is Zephyr, Wyatts mom." Misty says. "Why did I let you drag me to this? My kid isnt even here" Zephyr says. "Why didnt Wyatt come?" Jane asks. "Because Luna didn't" Zephyr says. "Damn, theres a lot of people who dont have moms" I say. Two other girls walked up to us. "Sorry about the delay ladies. She cant drive" one of them said. "Thats not true" the other one said. "Jess, this is Harley and Nova. They're the ones with six kids" Misty says. "Six? Damn" I say. Nova shrugged. "Girls, this is Bellas mom" Jane says. "Oh nice" Harley says. "Why dont they have this thing on mothers day?" Zephyr asks. "Have you seen our mayor? He's an idiot" Misty says. "Thats true" Zephyr says. "So you're hooking up with Bruce?" Nova asks. "How fast does word spread here? God damn. We're dating, yeah" I say. "Oh girl, word spreads so fast here, if you go deaf for a day, you might miss a war" Jane says. We laughed. "Why are you guys the 'main moms?" I ask quoting Jane. "Because our kids do the main shit in this town" Misty says. "Yeah and we actually listen to our kids opinions" Harley says. Jane looked at Zephyr. "Why arent you drinking?" Jane asks. "Bitch, Im pregnant. Did you go deaf for a day?" Zephyr says. "Apparently. Whyd you bring a pregnant woman down here? She should be at home" Jane says looking at Misty. "Cause she's my gal" Misty says. "You girls are weird" I say. "Amen" Nova says sipping her wine. We laughed.

Bellas POV
I broke away from Spade and went over to Jack. "Hey!" I say. "Hi Bella" he says. "Wheres your boy toy?" I ask. "Bathroom" he says. "Isnt this great? Now I have two brothers" I say. He laughed. "They're not married" he says. "But she signed you off didnt she? She's taking responsibility for you" I say. "It feels weird having a mother figure" he says. "Well get used to it. You got a mom and a sister" I say. "I guess I did. Now I can be all super protective over you when you're with Spade" he says jokingly. "Yeah dont do that" I say. We laughed. "Welcome to the Russel family Wolf" he says. "You know my last name doesnt change right?" I ask. "Yeah, thats why I called you by it dumbass" he says. I rolled my eyes. "You excited for graduation?" He asks. "Nope. My dads wont be there" I say. "Oh, sorry" he says. "Why? Its not your fault" I say. "That sucks though" he says. "Yes it does, but thats what happens when you help terrorists" I say. Spade came up behind me. "Babe come on" he says. "Coming" I say. I waved to Jack and walked with Spade.
